hummers don't like new bird feeder

I put up a new hummingbird feeder at my kitchen window late last week. I had to replace one that had a crack in the bottom and was leaking nectar. The hummers that I've seen coming up to my window will not drink from this new feeder. They fly up, appearing to be examining it and then fly off. Surely by now they would be used to the new feeder. I can't see where the nectar has gone down at all. It can't be bad already, I wouldn't think. The weather hasn't been hot enough in recent days for it to sour. What could be the problem?
