The only thing that I can see wrong in your picture is too much "green" in the top left part of your picture lol!

I agree Gary, grass is only suitable for pathways, golf courses and baseball/football/soccer fields.

Lovely long shadows cast over your hosta. What are the big ones? (center and right behind the tree?)

You have done a lovely job and I love the picture of your dry creek picture. Wow what a massive job making that! You seem to have a lot of rocks at your ready access too! Would make a beauty of a recirculating waterfall area too. We had to make a hill for our waterfall and haul in rocks but the sound of running water is like we are on holidays but with hosta to view too

hostahosta, Center is Sum and Substance. Seems to love this location. Hiding behind the tree is Sieboldiana Elegans; this one has been here for maybe 6 years.

Faye, there are rocks galore around back. The Gully started out with just somewhere to throw rocks dug up during plantings. After several years I decided to get serious and fill it up with some good size boulders.

There are some Huge boulders that were moved up the bank by some big earth movers that I would love to get my hands on. I would have to ask the landowner...I don't think he has any idea what's back there as it was done by the previous landowner. The next problem would be getting some very big equipment back there. No way in the world could these be moved by manpower alone. A Bobcat couldn't touch these either. There is no way to haul them out, but a big bulldozer could get them over to my property. I think I'll have to stick to ones I can lug out with my sturdy hand truck.

Faye, I will post some pictures of the area plantings. The problem is it is a large area and the hosta were mostly liners. Even with the mature plants, they get lost over the large area. I am encouraged by the growth. I fell like a broken record saying it will take time, but it will. The location and the fact I did not line the gully would make a waterfall very difficult.
