Looks like black coral or diamindhead, the blush blooms are pretty neat! You've done well to a flower in one season. It would likely be hardy in your area but not in a pot, they need to be well established in the ground early in the season to really be hardy. Just stop watering as it cools off, by the time night lows are near 50 you will notice your plant falling apart, yellowing and not growing, clean its leaves off, drag it in and stash it in a garage or closet, basement or under the sink, and just forget it til warm weather is here, I start a month before last frost, that way they break dormancy and are ready to go when it's time to get em in the ground! Here's my diamondhead, planted with Elena, or red eye gecko, I'm not 100% sure. I started with one small tuber in may 2012, this year I propagated it out into 47 plants! Some are bigger than the pictured plant which is over 4'

My HD or Lowes and Walmarts never ever have them here either. Everybody always posts how they find them there so I always look, ....but nope. However, a few years back the Stater Bros. grocery stores kept getting several varieties in. Haven't seen any lately though. A nursery here USED to have big specimens of several kinds that came in regularly, but this year they said they no longer carry them as the supplier moved. Bummer!

Hi Dalette---The leaves on the RHP are thicker, more succulent. I have noticed that the newer leaves do start out a little on the "thinner" side though...as they age they take on the true pubicalyx succulent leaf.

"Graceful shrubby habit" sounds perfect to me! Some upright canes is fine, especially since I think semi-doubles can work well seen from their sides, whereas with those big, full flowers you really want to be able to look at their "faces". I have FR in a pot, on my terrace-it gets strong sun until around 3 or 4 PM (I'll check today to be sure, but as I write, it's 2:15 PM and it's still in sun). This one really tempts me; we're going through the first hideous African heat wave of the summer, and this rose is not turning pink-ish, as my beloved Purple Skyliner or Lauren does; it's still a strong, true purple. MW instead, is in practically full shade out at my land, and there it is retaining it's colour, it seems, but would it do so in more sun? This year my Austins are looking good, but we had a very blessedly rainy May...
