Why make this so hard? ! What is the purpose of maple anything, when it could ALL BE WHITE? MDF is fine for trim,and frankly, nothing makes a better baseboard than a simple 1 x 6 ! Yes.....painted! It needs nothing, not even shoe molding. Exterior door is one thing. No match is necessary inside to outside. I would re think an exterior door in "golden oak".............why?

I certainly would not do one more thing in espresso it is a very dated color already and was so connected to cheap Chinese cabinets that I would never have it in my house.So I think in a basement white would be a nice change

I'd go for it. Whites of many shades look great together. Anything to freshen up the space is a good thing. When you are done, go around the house and purge un necessary accents and focus on a single color. you'll be surprised at how fresh it becomes.

What was the reason for the white you chose for the cabinets?It will also look yellow if you do not address the lighting that should all be LED 4000K. IMO the best choice is to use the cabinet white for the trim since mixing whites is tricky and can look very good or very bad si I like the same to avoid the mistake. SW syas Eider White with your wall color so maybe do all the trim and the cabinets in that if possible but a tleast do the trim and doors
