The Hosta of the Year candidates interest me.

Perhaps it would be an interesting thread to start here.

I was very pleased to see H. 'Liberty' added to the latest HOTY list, as ours is a wonderful pleasure.

Now, perhaps, is a good time to start a discussion on this forum about what we think is worthy of this distinction.

Whilst I'm not in a position to start this controversial discussion with pic right now, as I'm not on our main system with all the pics, I'm thinking about Tutu, Lakeside Mom, Salute, and such.

Let the games begin . . .

    I love Gypsy Rose also.
    When it is time to nominate, one that I will put up is Brother Stefan. It has done great for me.

    Good thread HH. Love Bro. Stefan and Lakeside Mom, haven't had Gypsy Rose long enough to say.
    What about a green hosta, I don't think there has ever been one picked for HOTY.

    Second Choice=Twilight Time

    Third Choice-Sun Power

    Pineapple Upside Down Cake or Wolverine. Easy to grow, don't seem to be bothered by slugs, nice habits, and make surrounding hostas look better.
