Your purple unknown daylily in the pictures might be Tooth. I grow it and it was my first thought. I looked at Tinkers before posting this to check a picture.

Celeste, thank your for helping us recall just how beautiful our plants can be when they are in full bloom. You have so many that won't grow here due to climate or disease, so I really love to see the phlox, hollyhocks, lilacs, delphiniums,clematis, Japanese iris, etc. Love the picture of Zeus, he is such a beautiful cat. The pic of the robin's eggs in the nest is wonderful--aren't they a lovely color? Happy New Year to you and your family. May 2012 be a great gardening year for all of us. Avedon

Gorgeous pictures, Celeste.I love them all.your tulips are gorgeous.I use to grow them, but got tired of digging them back up and storing them.Your bleeding hearts are so pretty, too and the RHODODRENDRONS too. Is that picture of you? if so, you are certainly a lovely looking lady to go with them gorgeous blooms you grow.Those Bouquets are so pretty.I sure miss having Bouquets in the house, too.I always had one in my kitchen since its where i spend so much time, when not in the yard.The water lilies are gorgeous.They look like the LOTUS plants.and I just love Clematis blooms, just hard to grow them to me.I tried for years to grow Hollyhocks,and finally I had some growing in front of the house, until the house caught fire back in 90 and the men working on it walked all over mine and destroyed them.I would dearly love to grow LILACS too, yours are gorgeous.I may try them again.so glad to get to see ZEUS again.he is so pretty.Give him a extra hug from me. and Thank you for taking the time to show us a little bit of your beautiful gardens.Hope we all have some more beautiful blooms this new year, too.

Celeste, your pictures are all so lovely. I miss going outside to take pictures also but there is nothing going on out there to take pictures of this time of year. Well, I do have afew roses still blooming as it generally has been mild weather with a colder day here or there but it has not lasted. The warmer fall and winter (so far) is fine by me!

Celeste, they are all so pretty...I especially loved the lilies and the roses. Ah yes. I have been looking through the pictures too. Bit it is not a pretty time of year, and we won't even have snow to brighten thing...just drab...and eventually, February, the longest month of the year here since it is cold and drab...as cold as it gets, anyway, and for longer than any other time. But I have a Compassion bloom in the little bud vase on my desk. It needs discarding now, but the silly thing opened even with a few petals of frost nip. And there were two gardenias too. But a few nights of freezing weather will end that. Maybe.
And the pictures are so nice! thank you for taking the time to post them.

Arlene, thanks for verifying that my mystery purple is 'Tooth'. The darn thing didn't have a tag at the nursery where I bought it, it was just clearly marked 'daylily'...haha. Later, I came to the conclusion that it was probably 'Tooth' from researching a lot of websites but to have someone who actually grows it verify it for me is the clincher. Now I can actually put a marker next to it with it's proper name.

Jean, yes that is me with the rhododendron. DH took it to show how big that bush had gotten from when I first planted it. It was in a one-gallon pot about 10 years ago!

Hurrah! Thanks for the eye candy on a cold day :) I love the first picture of your bulbs (if I could just squeeze ONE more bulb into an already jam-packed plot, I would do cartwheels, but I'm afraid of slicing into already existent once since I am narcissus-crazy)
I really love your blue/white arrangement as well. You have a great eye for putting things together (I always have blissful ideas and then when I arrange them, I think "hmmm....tacky..." ;)
