My daylilies tend to take all the space in my beds, but I think if space was available, I would plant snapdragons, bright red ones. My last daylily is in bloom right now, bright yellow. My red snapdragons are also in bloom, they will now continue to bloom all winter and hide the declining daylies. when warm weather starts with daylily foliage the snapdragons will be through. Al

Every time there is a question like this I always answer that my favorite place is Ridaught Daylilies in Florida. I'v ordered from several different places over the years including Maryotts and Oaks Daylilies. Ridaught has absoutly the most healthy and largest plants I have received from any vendor, by far. I love their selection and the prices are the most reasonable I have found and the shipping prices are also reasonable. Some vendors have what looks like reasonable prices but when you get to shipping charges on the order page it's like yikeeeeees, way too much. Ridaught also sends very generous bonus plants and customer service has been excellent........so what more can we want, I'v already placed my order for spring, looking forward to getting started.

I bring them to work and give them to my co-workers. I do that with a lot of the extra divisions and seedling plants in the spring. This year I brought in 10 or so divisions of Siloam Doodlebug and 8 divisions of Snowy Eyes and a few of some others. I also bring in other plants, like Lady's mantle, iris, perennial geraniums and stuff. I hate composting perfectly good plants and I'm too lazy to sell them. Most of my co-workers are not die-hard gardeners like us and don't care about things like names and genetics - they're just happy to get a nice plant with neat flowers for free! I've been doing this for a few years and it's always fun to have people come back to me and rave over a plant I gave them a year or 2 ago.

I checked on Fabulous Frieda on the AHS site and was surprised that it looks a lot like Christmas Celebration that I already have. There is a difference, but similar. I love reds so I just had to see it. I was needing to add to my 5,000 page want list.I will add this one but not at the top.
