What a surprise I got this morning.

Slept late this morning, but, when i went out to get my paper, this is what I seen and I was so surprised.HOT LAVA still had 3 more buds on it when it bloomed the last bloom and it didn't open well, so I thought it would bloom one bloom at a time for the other 3 buds. nope, not what happened.it got in a rush while the temps was 80 degrees yesterday. I got all 3 buds open today.That was soo pretty.

then CORAL FANTASY HAD a bloom today, too, one peddle didnt open good, but that color is gorgeous. love it.

and of course, ms BLACKIE was waiting at the door for me, too.

I have been out a dozen or more times today looking at these blooms.I just think they are so beautiful.

aint this something, blooms in november.I love it.Just wish we didnt have to wait so long till spring blooms, but, this helped some, not so long to wait when you can have blooms in november, huh.You had some in november, too.

Snapped lots of iris pics last night, thinking the weather might get them. Wow, they really opened well too for November. Hot Lava finally opened for me here, but nothing to photograph. I could see how lovely it will be next year though. Heavy freeze guarantees I won't get any more blooms, but South Seas & Little Showoff also bloomed this month, and that was after a hard frost. Just amazing to get blooms in November, especially here.

Hurray for Hot Lava! What a nice sight to see in mid-November. I can see where you would go out and look at them a few times...they are very pretty. Lots of you will have daylilies blooming again long before I will. Daylily season doesn't start until early July up here. Roses don't start back up until mid-June, so I am in for a LONG wait. Ms. Blackie is such a faithful companion and a cutie-pie. I always enjoy seeing her out in your garden.
Enjoy those priceless blooms!

Celeste, roses start spring flush in early June here and daylilies soon thereafter but I have tall bearded iris and they start first so early spring really is a favorite time here. But you really do have a long wait and a long winter were you are.

Jean, That is wonderful. Your three blooms on Hot Lava look perfect, just as if it was late spring instead of mid November. I am so glad you got to enloy these last few daylily blooms before winter sets in.

Lucky you! and they are so pretty.

I had some rebloom scapes come up but all were frozen out before they bloomed.

Wow Jean, Hot Lava is gorgeous as is Coral Fantasy. I have been protecting some late scapes from the deer but I think our freeze will probably get them tonight. Down in the twenties. Grrrr..... or should I say Brrrrr....... I have Coral Fantasy but haven't gotten very many blooms out of it but the ones I have gotten are gorgeous. I think I need to move it to a better location. Ms Blackie looks especially pretty!! Thanks for sharing, Judy

Those are really nice and special blooms on Hot Lava.!!! And three at the same time, what a nice bouquet.

NaNCY in ky,Its suppose to go down to 27 here tonight, so it may do in the other buds thats left on coral FANTASY. there is 3 or 4 buds left on it,, i hope it waits till after this cold front gets away from here and it warms back up again.The weather here is like a roller coaster.
iT was 80 degrees here on Tuesday and finally got to mid 50's today.,and the north wind was cold.

RITA.Thank you for your nice comments. I tried my best to get all 3 of the Hot Lave blooms in my photo, in a way to see each of them head on, but was just no way to do it.Each bloom was so pretty and opened up really nice.I sure wasn't expecting all 3 buds to open at one time.

Brr, got down to 23 here tonight, lower than they predicted. I woke up in the night & remembered I didn't bring in a couple of potted plants. Drat. Hope it didn't get that cold for you, maybe we can see a few more blooms. Supposed to warm back up to the 70s.

nancy,it got down to 27 here,and was so cold after those couple days of 80.it only got to the mid 50'd today here, but suppose to be back to 70 tomorroe.this crazy weather will have a lot of folks sick.
