No, sorry, but I just ordered 50% sale bulbs last week from van Bourgondien. Also 40% off bulbs at Cary Garden Supply - still some nice ones left 2 days ago. Sale at Fairview but nothing much left and dried up - but they have 35% off all shrubs and trees - variegated daphne and witch hazel were both budded out and tempting. Bluestone is still on 15% sale. I lurked around Lowes and Home Depot in Hillsborough and Durham, but they never put their bulbs on sale - bummer. It is just not fair to be so surrounded by potential vices.At least Wally World, Lowes, and Home Depot now have seeds out. I am also shocked at how many good nurseries I've walked into lately, asking for seeds, and having people look at me with disdain and tell me it's the wrong season for seeds - have they not heard of winter-sowing? Good thing seeds on eBay are generally a buck , like from Devonshire Gardens eBay store. Have you tried looking for a review of American Meadows at Dave's Garden?

if you were thinking in tree time.. you wouldnt be concerned about anything.. other than doing the happy dance for the money you saved ... but.. i dont like the white staking bands... they are too low.. and if a strong wind comes thru ... the tree MIGHT snap a few feet above.. due to you restricting it down low ... is there a stake flush with the trunk??? get some water in the general area ... not just the planting hole ... put a sprinkler on low for a few hours .... and wet a 6 foot circle or so ... lets encourage the roots out of the hole ... otherwise.. give it 2 or 3 years ... AND THEN START THINKING ABOUT PRUNING ... crikey dude ... it needs every leaf it has.. to grow the roots ... its really not time to be thinking about cutting them off ... water properly.. and otherwise ignore it ... and no.. its not hungry.. no fert ... happy dance.. happy dance.. happy dance ... and water ... ken
