It's getting down to just a few blooms now for me. Today TROPICAL FREEZE had one bloom (and has just one more to go for 2009) and 2 blooms on STRAWBERRY CANDY. That's about it. I have a scape on Street Urchin that has a few more buds but after that....2009 daylilies are done. Boo HOO!

'Storm Surf' is still blooming on rebloom scapes. With the exception of a few days lately where it has taken longer for buds to mature in cool weather, it hasn't stopped blooming since Jul 3. Though I haven't counted, it seems to build buds as the original scape lasted from Jul 3 until just a couple weeks ago.

'Yazoo Jim Terry' has its last bud open. It was so cool yesterday & today that this blossom has been open & lasted 2 days.

Another frost threat tonight (though just barely a frost as in low 30s)

Only two brave souls willing to open this morning--it was mid 40's the last few nights/mornings with some pretty strong wind--both by Apps. Appalachian Sunset and Final Touch, both on their first bloom cycle. Only a few buds left on each though. Have buds on a couple others, but only these two opened.

Barbara Mitchell has been blooming up a storm, & so has Raspberry Pixie. Which Way Jim surprised me & put out a late scape. I didn't think it would have time to bloom, but it seemed like I saw the scape one day just coming out & today it is blooming. Barbary Corsair put out a late scape, but only had 2 buds on it, the 2nd bloomed today.

Final Touch is still blooming, and Bodacious Blush opened it's last one today. Ledgewood's Firecracker put up a rebloom scape, and I allowed one bloom to open. Dilemma also put up a rebloom scape, and I have one more to bloom.

Stella is blooming with multiple scapes, Happy has put up another scape and that is it.

I have Final Touch but it just bloomed for a couple weeks.

Adamas and Snake in the Grass Boo are still blooming. I had a scape coming on Robes for the Queen, but with all the rain last week it blasted.

I had to cut the scapes, and bring them in, today two bloomed, so I took the vase outside when it was sunny. This is Royal Frosting and Cortina in a vase!! Don't know if it counts in a vase!!!??? Stella is still trying hard to open.

Savannah Debutante is still in re bloom and I have a scape or two on others but they won't bloom. It was in the mid 30's here a couple of nights ago and the low 40's for a couple of nights. Brrrr! Goodbye daylily blooms!!! Sob!Sob!! Ellie

I have three Cosmic Couriers that are about to bloom if we get a couple of warmer days. One of the three has one bloom half opened. That's about it. Most of mine were planted this season, so they aren't blooming. Next year ought to be fun!
The others I have are Primal Scream, Marietta Magic, Bahama Butterscotch, Carefree Peach, Bertie Ferris, Imperial Elegance, Flying Tigers, and Ocean Drive Sunset. None are now blooming though.

Primal Scream is situated in front of a May Night Salvia, and next to a Sunny Border Blue Veronica, so the combination of the oranges, purples, and blues should be nice.
Darn, too bad winters coming!

Oh sure, rub it in! ;oP All I have left is seed pods ripening, and only 3 left at that! I'll just rewind and pretend that I'm in July again. Sweet, sweet July...how I miss you already!

So glad to see many of us are still able to see some bloom but yes, the season is definitely on a fast downhill ride.
No frost here yet but some surrounding areas did get it. Weather outlook for this weeks weather is nothing higher than 50's and rain, rain, rain.

And yes, blooms in a vase can count ;-).

It will be interesting to see who still has a bloom on November 1st.

I have RICH IN MERCY from Karol still blooming out in the front yard. Poor thing is blooming so late this first year but will be peak season next year.

Then BUTTERSCOTCH HARVEST has two blooms today and one last bud to go. RR RIGHT REGAL has afew buds left also but no bloom today. These two Olallie daylilies have been absolutely outstanding blooming from August until now.

Here in zone 5a I still have blooms and more buds coming on Windfrills, Bold Tiger, Tang Dynasty and Double Cutie. Siloam Little Girl had some lovely rebloom scapes as did Sweet Southern Sunshine. Carlotta had amazingly late blooms(not rebloom) going well into September. But it does look pretty lonely out there. We have had some frost around us since Sept 19 and it has rained continuously for the last week or so. I have 10 first year seedlings with scapes coming but I don't know if they will make it or not.
Can't wait for spring!

Happy returns with a bloom for me every day this past week. Has new scapes as well.
Red Ripple (planted last month) had a bloom yesterday and 2 buds left.

I have some new scapes on a few that I had planted this past early summer. I wonder if I should be cutting off the scapes and bring in, or leave alone? Which is better for overwintering health? Being that I just planted them a few months ago.

We have had a very wet summer and I have had lilies rebloom that have never done so before.
