That's what it looks like to me. Carnosa is one of my very favorite hoyas and even though I have yet for mine to bloom, my home-ec teacher's plant was breathtaking when it bloomed! Carnosa flowers can range from white to light pink and they smell like chocolate from what I heard. They bloom from a small spur called a peduncle and it's important to never remove it because flowers will form again and again on the same peduncle. The flowers look as they're made of wax or porcelain, hence the common names wax plant and porcelain flower. Google "Hoya carnosa" and you should be able to find a picture of the flowers. A bloom booster fertilizer should help with the blooms but not until you see new growth should you fertilize. The very nice people on this forum I'm sure will help you with other growing tips, besides the ones I gave you. You have a very nice plant! What exposure do you have your plant in? Yeah, that big one is absolutely gorgeous. Wish I could've bought that one, but it wasn't for sale of course :( The one I bought is in a small clay pot (see pic above), and it has put on quite a few new leaves since I bought it. Actually, both that one and the variegated macrophylla have put on a lot of growth since I got them...the rigida I bought has done absolutely nothing! Macrophylla has grown a long new stem and about 4 new leaves...I just LOVE the leaf coloring on that one! Anyway, I was worried about the soil because it seems very peaty, but they clay pot seems to balance the moisture thing out. By the way, still no action on my serpens peduncles....how bout you Eddie? Marcy, I would have to agree that sigillatis seems to like dryer conditions, since I've been treating it like most of my thicker-leaved hoyas and it has been thriving. Gabi

Howdy...Sorry I haven't been here, but now that our 'daily rain' stopped, and temps are summer-like, I've spent Thurs and Fri afternoon and night hauling remaining plants out. So far about 95% are outdoors..Whew! Denise, your PS is soooo very beautiful. Mine looks nothing like yours. Sheesh, you sure it's PS? There's so much variegation. I'm envious..lol.. I got the name H. Purpureo from a nursery site. I'd have to snap a pic for definate ID. After viewing the pic you posted, I don't have Purpureo. Once again, I'm lost..lol..So, what in the world is it? lol..Leaves are long, 3-5", pointed, and when IL has sunshine, (more than a couple days) the silver splashes are pronounced. They might or might not show in a pic. The other Hoya is definately Krinkle 8..No doubt about it. I have pics on my site, but for some reason, the camera doesn't capture the crinkles, they don't show via my camera. I've taken pics of H. Krinkle 8 before, never did the crinkles show much. Denise, where did you find your PS? It's astonishing. I'd love to buy one if I can find it..Wow! The hoyas you posted are yours, right, not something dl'ed from the net? It's been a while since taking cuttings from any hoyas, especially after reading not to prune. I took their advice literally, now find it strange since taking cuttings they stopped blooming. I have variegated and green Hindu Ropes, both bloom all summer. Hoyas are all in the same windows, SW, so light isn't an issue. I think I have an old pic of HR's..I'll look for a pic on Flickr and post. It's weird because even though there are two HR's, the flowers are different colors..lol The above pic is Krinke 8..see what I mean about the crinkles not looking crinkly..lol Above are both HR's..Notice there are 3 different color blooms? Why is that? Denise, I had several boxes of Bloom Booster, but they got wet and had to be tossed...Here's a list of bloom ferts left. Shultz AV 8-14-6--- Better Gro Orchid Bloom booster, 11-35-15---Dyna Gro Bloom 3-12-6---and Jacks Classics 10-30-20.. Would any be sufficient? As for ST, I never run out..I keep backup bottles..lol VF-11 is way too expensive..wow. Yes, it's been a while. I spilled a glass of Kool Aid on the computer tower..Liquid and computers do not mix. lol. It was a disaster. Finally bought a new puter. Then our neighors tree fell on the front of our house. 2 days later, a car ran into our parked truck..Between all this, we were getting non-stop rain. Hauling plants in the mud is a pain. lol It's funny, I recall other posts where you say, 'I'm no Hoya expert, haven't been growing them long.' lol..I wonder how many months went by since you originally made that quote..lol What is Royal Haw? Is it a Hoya? Are blooms purple? Sounds lovely..Do you have pics? I named the ferts left, hopefully one will work. What about slow-release fert? I admit, I've been lax as far as ST'ing and fertiliZing, but before taking each plant outside, they're showered..then set in an area each will be summered, all this takes time, lots of work..I'm exhausted..lol..plus there's outdoor gardening to do too..with all the rain we've had, weeds are growing 2-3" per day..we just weeded, and already the front, sides and back need more plucking..We don't use weed killers.. I will get my butt outside..fert and ST. lol.. So how have you been? Mike..yes, the hoyas get great light..they're right against the windows, plus, during winter, get several hours of artificial light. This year I splurged, bought true plant lights, even though paying high $$ goes against my grain. Two white lights work just as well. I think fertilizer is the problem. My plants are pest free. Believe me..I mist daily, and inspect frequently..all plants, not just hoyas. I also make a batch of organic insecticide and spray every other week as a preventative. No mites, scale, mealy, whitefly, or any other pest. I had no idea hoyas were to be fertilized as often as you guys do it. Wow.. How often does everyone fertilize? Toni

Billy..I learned my lesson sending 'freebies' to non-regulars too. One cost me a plant plus nine and change shipping..the person offered to send petunia cuttings! In fall to boot..you'd think I'd have learned, but nope, someone on the 'other forum' said she was handicapped, couldn't get out to buy plants..I sent over 15 cuttings, and a little soil. How stupid is that? She never even wrote to say thanks..The last time was a man asking for, of all plants, Mother of Thousands. We agreed if shipping was over 2.00 he'd pay..well, shipping was 7 and change..not a penny was sent..he did thank me.. From now on cuttings will go to friends, family and regulars here. Billy, I believe everything you sent is doing fine. Even the old Algao is over 2' tall, and blooms yearly. The two sux you sent last, (which I told you you didn't have to give anything in return) :) are fine..they're outside, soaking, well whatever sun we get. I think my lights produce more light than outside plants are getting. What a summer! What a joke! The COT's is packed with leaves. The mona (succulent) great and has leaves. I can't recall if there were others, those are what come to mind. Yes, the rockets, beautiful, fragrant flowers for sure. LMK if you want some Krinkle..it no longer matters since it hasn't bloomed. If I could root hoyas I'd cut up the entire plant and start over. lol.
