Ellie, I actually had the empty spots for the ones I bought and afew extra all out front in the Planterbox were I intend to put them. After planting there will still be a spot left as I had seven spots. Not that I expected seven daylilies. It just worked out that way.

And just to show that I am even more oranganized I have seven more spots empty in the Plateau in the backyard. I will be able to buy some spring 2012 intros without having to wonder were to put them. As long as I don't buy too many LOL!

What fun! You really were ready & waitin'. Nice situation to be in, & fun for us next year when we see your pictures. I'm looking forward to it!

Rita, which ones did you order? I went on her website but the intros for 2012 aren't listed. I did see pics of your 2 bonuses, though. Lucky you! I don't have any Westbourne's but by the looks of them, I should! They may be a little too pricey for me just yet, but they sure make for delicious eye candy. Yum! Did you order from the website or off the Lily Auction?

I also had some more daylilies delivered, and now planted. I know it's getting real late to be doing that in my zone but the weather has warmed up and we're getting lots of rain so I think they'll be ok. I planted this late last fall and all of them made it just fine with mulch and good snow cover.

And the 2011 I bought is GODS NATURE PLEASURES. Another lovely bi-tone!

Oh WOW, Rita!!! Those are stunners! I am envious. I like them all, but that first one kills me....I am a fool for bi-colors & bi-tones. And it is LATE, too. What a perfect daylily. The middle one is so soft and pretty and scrumptious. Reminds me of a lemon meringue pie. The last one is aptly named. That is one smoking red-hot beauty! You did good, girl.

W. Tid Bit is stunning, isn't it, love that rich bi-tone effect. Love at first Sight is lovely, I like the shape of it especially. And Keg of Dynamite looks like it will really draw attention.

Whoo wee I saw TidBit and almost bid on it but waited. Glad you got it. I received my Westbournes last week and her lilies take off like gangbusters here. I finally ordered some lates from Olallie and they are the sweetest couple. Luv Isabel! Ended up order ordering a few from Roycroft tonight so I really need to stop. Would love to order at least one order from Maryotts this fall but since I got soooo many from them last year I am trying to hold off plus running outta room. Judy

Rita, I think I also had considered bidding on Tidbit also- great colors!!! I really like the deep deep orange-red of that last one also! :)

I didn't plant them today either. Today is just so wet from yesterdays and last nights rain. Grey and dismal looking but not raining now. I guess they will soak until tomorrow.

So I planted all six of them out in the front yard planterbox were I had intended to put them. It really wasn't such a big job as six is not that many and I wanted to get it done. So now it is. No more daylilies to plant.

I have two spots left in there I can get new plants for. I made an extra spot by putting the one in closer were I had not been counting a spot but there was room. So two spots left.

Hmmm. I wonder how I managed to write a reply and not post it.

Oh well. Those are going to be beautful, but that is SOP for your garden. I love the dark red one. Have you got bulbs coming too, Rita, or will this finish your fall planting? I am in my typical situation of having a few less spots than I need, but partly that is because I am avoiding the area where I lost lilies to crown rot.

My last lily auction win came a few minutes ago with a super bonus! I love Salters, and this is Wild Child, so it will be planted.

I do have bulbs coming. Both Daffoldils and Tulips that I ordered before July from Brent and Beckies.

Those are nice, I really like the first one, Westbourne Tid Bit. A great color and later too!! It will look great with the other lavenders.

I was sure you had some bulbs coming even though you get more than one year out of them.

What do you think, I am planning to plant tulips where the zinnias are right now (That long strip), then I will plant zinnias again next speing. I think I have 700 tulips coming and I am actually going to order a few more for the rose garden since we liked those so well last year.

Kay, I think the zinnia strip will look stunning planted in tulips. I can just see the bloom now, it will be smashing! Then the zinnias for the rest of the year and all summer. Great idea. Just leave room to plant the zinnias in between, around or in front or back of the tulips. I planted my bulbs so close together I had trouble squeeezing in the zinnias until the folliage died back.

Cindy, not much compaired to last year. I just could not face planting that many bulbs all at once again.
