The one I have from her is called SHIMMERING RED SATIN. It is aptly named as a gorgeous red. I don't know why I didn't get a picture of it blooming this year.

I thought of getting 2008 intro VISUAL SYMPHONY but decided not to. I do try to expand into different (for my taste) daylilies but am just not sure I will like it. Its too much money to wonder if maybe I will like it.

lalalandwi - I just knew you would like many of her intros as there are many that are quite unusual and just very different from the norm.

I did go back and add to my order 2008 intro Autumn Reflection. I like orange and the description of strong rebloomer did it for me. It really, really reminds me of the coloring of AUTUMN WOOD here in my garden but of course its MUCH bigger. Autumn wood didn't do well this year, too much shade. Autumn Reflection, 7 inch flower, wow.

Wow! What a stunner. I will be excited to see pics when it blooms for you. I have to live the more expensive ones vicariously through you and others right now, but when the pics are so lovely, it is almost as enjoyable as having them myself!

Thanks for the links as well... I am going to try some of the Northern ones this year and see how they do for me. I haven't decided which ones yet, but think that I will try something with a blue watermarky type of bloom as those are the ones that I have the most problem with being true to color. I would love to find a source for that kind that actually looked like it was supposed to!

Also getting AMAZING ARTISTRY, a 2007 intro. I liked the fact that its very late and a good bloomer by her description.

So Monday she will ship me 3 daylilies. I did real good!

That daylily trader site is great because it lists so many off beat hybridizers sites. Some are well known, others not so much.

I remember seeing SWEET ISABELA on her website last year and wanted to buy it right away. I just flipped for it. No one is going to call THAT one a cookie cutter look alike flower :-))

When I first started last year, I just bought if it was pretty. No longer. I am so, so, very picky about what I add now. I have realized I need season extenders and of course rebloom and that is were my focus is. There are lots of other pretty faces on her site but if it was a mid bloomer with no rebloom under 20 budcount, its not coming here.

Like lots of people went for the Carpenter intros in the link I posted. Its not that there were no pretty ones there but not fitting into what I was and am looking for. Budcounts will go down and theres no rebloom to be gotten there.

Gerda has some real stunners on her website. Did you look at her futures? Fantastic stuff coming.

I did look at some of the fuitures pictures. No information given of course so you don't know much except what the flower looks like.

I got news that my daylilies were shipped yesterday so they might be here by Friday. I am going to put AMAZING ARTISTRY up in that garden of late bloomers up behind the garage and putting Sweet Isabella and Autumn Reflection in the Terraces garden.

They just got here and I am giving them a nice soak for the roots for alittle while. While SWEET ISABELA is one fan (and I knew that before buying) it is a nice big and wide fan so I am sure there will be more fans soon. AUTUMN REFLECTION is two fans and AMAZING ARTISTRY three fans. I am quite pleased.

I decided to update this in case there was anyone that missed SWEET ISABELA first time around:-)) At any rate those three daylilies I planted from Greda Brooker look great today, they all grew like gangbusters.
