That is one of the prettiest Krimson princess I've seen. The second one looks like Krimson queen. You can put the cutting in some loose,chunky type of soil...don't over water while its trying to put out roots, keep the soil damp not wet. Oh, and if you have the cutting in a cold room, give it some bottom heat if possible. Nice hoyas!

My plants are my escape, obscession, and reward. If I'm having a huge week of work I know that with my next paycheck I'll splurge on something green if I see something that strikes me. Also, we have a lot of winter here and I have to have some green around me. I have a lot of plants too...around 200 or so, but probably two-thirds of those are violets and streps. I keep those in trays so they are really easy to water and wouldn't be anything like watering 200 individual plants. I swear my main form of exercise is filling the gallon jug in the bathtub and then carting it to the plants. I water probably every day. About a month ago I had WAY too many violets and streps and I gave many away and then threw many away...two big garbage bags full. I had so many that some were getting neglected. It was relief narrowing it down to my very favorites but hard to do at first. Well I've rambled long enough. Have a good evening everyone! Janie

I predict the answer will be at C&S if you allow time & patience pls. Perhaps as much as a week, not a day. I realize you've posted multiple places looking, but we're trying to help you. I brought you here, hoping exactly these 2 women would see this; as I knew they could rule it in or out of Hoya / Dischidia question (meaning Aurora & Denise). When I saw this at Houseplants, I suggested not Hoya / Dischidia, but some form of Crassula, explaining to you that Crassulas were a large family w/ stacked varieties as well. Could you pls keep checking there (at C&S) but give it at least a week? Really. PS: I hadn't seen you'd posted at Hoyas already when I suggested it.

So the cutting didn't actually do anything for weeks, and then I went out of town for a week and came back to these roots. The picture is a bit blurry but you can see the roots at the top (the two leaves are still at the top, it just got cut off in the picture). Should I cut the stem off below the roots and pot it, or pot it with the stem intact? It still has what looks like a root hair at the very bottom.
