Make low-sugar jam with no-sugar pectin?

I've always made straight forward full-sugar jams and jellies but now I'd like to try some low-sugar jam.

My problem is that I cannot find a local source of low-sugar pectin. It's all either the traditional stuff or the no-sugar kind.

Since the no-sugar pectin doesn't need the sugar to make a jell it seems to me that I should be able to use the no-sugar pectin to make a low-sugar jam.

Can this be done? What adjustments do I need to make?

The grape jam I just made was seven cups juice/pulp to seven cups sugar to one box of traditional pectin. I'd like to cut that sugar in half. If I can use no-sugar pectin for this how would I adjust this recipe?
