Your plant is an amorphophallus. Another common name, the one I like, is a voodoo lily. It is an unusual plant, especially when it is mature. It sends up a huge flower that has an awful smell to attract it's pollinator. This odor only lasts a few days, but it is quite the attraction for everyone to come and see it.

I think it's an amorphophallus or "voodoo lily." It's an arum. You can google one of those names to see images online to see if you agree.

I think it is definitely a Amorphophallus , perhaps Amorphophallus 'Konjac'. I should be able to figure it out from here. I just needed a push in the right direction since "lizard plant/tree" got me nowhere quick and I really had nothing else to go on.

If it blooms it will go well with my Stapelia gigante.... :)

I'm just down the road from you. is your planted in partial shade or full sun? do you do anything special for water besides our natural rain and weekly sprinklers?

Ours flowered last year, really cool bloom! Have it in shade, hand watered. We have it staked, gets a bit top heavy.
