I didnt find Rozanne, and the supplier I checked out was out of it. But I will keep an eye out for it as My cranesbill dont sprawl just mound up and fall, cut them back and let them try it again. This Rozanne has me wanting to see it! :) Pansies and johnny jump ups are high maintenance until I decided to save the seeds! Then it was more fun to deadhead. I too, love them all the same. I threw out some old seed at the end of July for cut and come again zinnias last year and they bloomed that fall and held on to the hard frost.

Hi Thank you. I have 12 different kind of bananas, I have to show them sometimes, lol All my tomatoes for fall and spring are always started from seeds, I don't have any special greenhouse or set up. I start them in my porch. I have a lot of seed varieties and I have them rotating so my family don't get tired of them, I also grow seedlings for friends and neighbors, free of charge. This season I grew over a 100 seedlings, from what I kept 45 for myself.:) When you buy seeds they are listed as early varieties they can be heirloom or hybrid, your choice. It all depends what do you like some people think only beefsteak type are good some others only like cherry or red. I like all the varieties some more than others. You just have to do the math, it is simple. You are aiming at having healthy transplants about 6 weeks old ready for the garden. I never do cuttings in my area too many diseases and bugs around, it is better for me to start fresh, even with the mix. The old soil gets recycled in the garden for me goes to the bananas. Here's a fairly large Double Knock Out in the front yard--in the divider between my property and the neighbor's. Haven't had time to anything with it yet this year, so its looking a bit wild and woolley--and maybe lop-sided. I'll try to get some pruning done before the season is over. : ) Light blue irises came with the property when I bought my house thirty something years ago--don't know their name, but they bloom forever (for an iris). Another iris--name unknown. Sure is lovely. Here's a terrific fully packed white peony called Festiva Maxima--love that blood-red like marking in the middle of the blooms. I read somewhere once that this old classic is a good choice for more southerly gardeners, but I don't remember why. I have 4 of them. BIG blooms. Its getting so exciting now that things are nearly ready to bloom--can't believe the buds all over the yard--have never seen so many. Oddly, however, my hybrid teas are not taking over the show like they usually do. I thought with the mild winter we had, they would do terrifically well, but it seems the shrubs and floribundas are the ones doing best. But maybe that will all change in the next few weeks. This is about 3 weeks early for my roses--any of them--to be blooming. Kate
