Can you recommend a well-seasoned pasta sauce canning recipe?

I am looking for an approved canning recipe for a really pungent, zesty, herby, garlicy pasta sauce, preferably with no added sugar. My family doesn't care for mildly-seasoned sauces, and most of the approved recipes I've seen read as a bit on the mild side. I know I can add dried herbs to a basic recipe, but I understand that playing with the peppers, onions and garlic can be hazardous. I won't have enough tomatoes to try multiple recipes, so can you recommend a nice potent sauce recipe? Either with or without meat is fine, as long as it can repel vampires. ;-).
