Here is a hosta pic of the day for Jan.I was not sure if anybody was looking at the pics so I stopped(probably from winter boredom.)

Here is a pic of June.I read that there are about 5 variations of June.Mine is not one of the better ones.Phil

Perfect timing, hostamanphil! I dropped in hoping to see photos of Avocado and to see how others might be using it in combinations. Thanks to everyone who shares :). I'll make a note to come back with a pic when mine are in their (young) glory this summer. Picked up 3 of them at a nursery's year end sale ($6 ea. - hope that was good) - the form and colour was just lovely and they seemed very healthy. In a holding bed until spring.

OK, Merle, I can't compete with that but I do have a few pics of Liberty and Sagae. Here's a nice mature Sagae from Mary Arnberg's garden. Liberty from the garden of Paula Lehtola. A good looking Sagae from Mason Hollow. Here's a really gorgeous Liberty from R. Seawright. Here's my Sagae shortly after I bought it. Steve, I left mine sitting in a pot all summer long in almost full sun. It stayed misted all year. I'd consider it pretty hardy as it was pretty much neglected, not watered regularly. I finally found a home for it at the end of September. It's not one of my favorites, but after seeing these pictures, I think it may grow on me. Gesila

Phil, I'm not at all convinced of the 'different types' of 'June'. 'June' is quite the chameleon, responding to the amount of light it receives as to how bright the center gets. I have had one in a spot where part of the plant gets a degree of direct sun, the back-half of the same plant gets far less and it shows in how light the variegation gets. Check out these pictures of this one plant.
