Comments (6)Had excellent results using this D E, but now of course this is important (you don't want to make dust fly and breath this stuff in) as it wouldn't be good for your lungs. I've used it around young corn plants that Cut Worms love to snip off at close to ground level. Now, once the corn plants get to around 3 inches tall then the cut worms can't get through the tougher stalks at this point, just birds want to pluck em next. As with respect to the Green Pepper plants you'll just have to keep using it and the slugs get cut up crawling through the Diatomaceous Earth, this stops them very well so they don't crawl up the plants an do all the damage. Comments (5)I assume that you haven't seen anything coming or going from the holes or eating the strawberry leaves? Do they "eat" circular to semi-circular holes in the leaves? Or, the whole leaf? If they are taking out circular to semicircular patches, it likely is leafcutter bees and they are cutting out pieces of leaves to use in building their nests. Otherwise, if it is coming from those holes in the ground, I'd suspect a beetle of some sort. The only thing that's ever eaten my strawberry foliage is rabbits, but they don't live in 1 cm holes in the ground. Neither do leafcutter bees, but I still think they are a likely suspect. Comments (3)How many holes in an average leaf? 5? 10? 25? 50? And, how big are the holes? The size of a BB? The size of an M&M? Larger than that? Are you seeing any grasshoppers or leafhoppers around because that's usually what eats my bean leaves. Dawn...See MoreSpinach, swiss chard - something eating holes in leaves
Comments (2)Look carefully on the back of the leaves for small green worms. They can be controlled with BT. They hide and blend in well, so look closely....See Moreglib
