It is being developed by MI Homes. I did a search and found their website. It might be worth contacting them. Appears they are building single and multi-family housing, and some retail is being added as well. We moved in November to just south of that area. It's sad to see it being developed, but I guess that's what all the neighbors thought when our subdivison was built, too.

Yes there are, but there seem to be a dearth of growers in the far north NE. Check the list of suppliers at the link or search for dahlia farms in new Hampshire, but I couldn't turn up much. Maybe try VT too. Lovely part of the country, by the way. Perhaps another route would be to contact the local/state dahlia society and get some leads from them. Matthew Martin looks different in cooler weather than in hot weather. It is a dark brown in hot weather and a lighter brown in cooler weather. Some blooms are splotchy. If you want some, maybe we can arrange a trade. Right now, I'm quite busy.

Thanks, all! Debra, I think you are right about Miss Jessie! That one is listed in their catalog - and it was near another from the 1950s that I took a picture of. Mantis, Saundra mentioned that she uses milorganite, I don't know what else (if anything) they use or do.
