Pandanus amaryllifolius is a Tropical plant. They are a bit more sensitive than tomato plants. My plant was in afternoon shade. Remember these are not semi-tropical they are tropical. They like high heat and high humidity. If the air is to cold they die or to dry they die. It can be grown indoors. Outdoors will take some special care unless you have a farm where the evaporation from the fields increases the relative humidity to create a proper micro climate. There are some plants for sale on eBay right now. Don't bother buying from any source outside the USA. I tried twice and customs got it both times.
