Peppie is a rat terrier, which is actually a mixture of five or six other breeds, and I must say that some of the doggies posted after mine look very similar to him. We have another dog, a Yorkie, and unfortunately Peppie has never really warmed up to her, although he adored our Main Coone cat, a gentle giant who persisted in trying to befriend Peppie, despite many rebuffs, until Peppie fell in love with him. I love hearing all about the foibles of your dogs, and their interactions with their people and other pets. Florence, there's no question you had to marry Bob for Charlie's sake. I also have kept my big mouth shut, pretty uncharacteristic of me. But like Necia I think the issue was handled poorly on both sides. This includes not only things that were said as much as the mean spirit, the unkind undertones that came through the words. I got my start at GardenWeb. I had to check my member pages to see how long I have belonged. Turns out I joined in Sept. '04. So this WS forum has been my home for over 3 years now. But I also joined Daves in Feb. '06. I don't intend to divorce myself from either. I also belong to some Yahoo garden groups but I can't see how belonging to multiple garden groups on the web should be a problem for anyone in any way, shape or form. I have reported my database here in the past and will continue to do so. Will I contribute it to Dave's as well? Maybe, depending on how it evolves, how much effort and time it takes. When gardening becomes something I see as work, I back off. I'm always trying to get people to try wintersowing. (I have 6 new recruits at work this year!) I give them links to places like this forum (the FAQs are here), and Trudi's site. Do I ever paraphrase information on Trudi's site? Most definitely!, probably both in cyberspace and the real world. I put so much effort into learning to WS the first year I tried that I can probably recite a lot of it verbatim like I could the Baltimore catechism in second grade. I certainly make no $ from this, in fact it costs me because I give away so many seeds trying to encourage people to wintersow. I thought this was the spirit of sharing wintersowing, the "pay it forward" philosophy. Now I feel like the wintersowing police will be knocking on my door. As I said I often direct or link people to this forum or Trudi's site but now I will be reluctant to direct people to WSEO, holding in back of my mind Trudi's open announcement that there is "misinformation" planted within. A shadow of doubt has been cast. It doesn't foster that "warm, fuzzy" that drew me here in the first place. I guess we just have to put the issue to rest. I'll shut up. Karen

Who knew deciding on a range was so tough? We agonized for months during a new build and finally found the BS. We had looked at all the regular ranges, plus Bertazonni (we thought it felt cheaply constructed) and something else I don't even remember. I drove quite a distance to see a BS in person and never looked back. Final decision came down to BS or American Range. We did NOT want electronics that would fritz out on us. Glad we went with our gut on that. We hope to never buy another stove. This thing is simple, straightforward, attractive and a dream to run. 12 months now into a 30" RCS. We were concerned about 15,000 btus, but it has never been an issue. Cooking is a pleasure. Total control. There were a few minor adjustments needed at the outset and a tech came far, far out of his way (we live in a rural area) to tweak it to perfection, and teach me the tweaks, too. It was set up for natural gas, but we run propane and since propane is heavier, it sinks before ignition and sparks need to aim down slightly. The tech/rep adjusted this with a needle-nose wrench and there hasn't been a single issue since. The local distributor said it was set up for propane. But... not. Miscommunication at that level, but otherwise complaint-free. One clicker got killed by a boil-over. BS sent a replacement and a spare overnight and it took about 3 minutes to install. I love the stove's simplicity. It is easy to clean. Good baking. Great stovetop. Drip tray is great. Very large oven for a 30" range. I love the darned thing! We are glad we did months of research because I had never heard of this make before. Never thought I'd be a big fan of a kitchen appliance. But go figure!

I kick to some degree daily. LOL! I still h/n gotten back to my MTD Mower to ck the carb settings and etc. looking for reasons for using excessive gas. My back-up Murray is taking it’s turn cutting in the rotation. We have some nice cool damp weather in North Tx allowing some other needs. I did a pass and review on the recent gate hinges to not see the gate swinging. I called the neighbor and he reported it’s hung but he has not seen the gate used. The electric gate needed more that than hinges adapted. I’ll hope to see it swing soon On my property, it’s grass and little daily projects I try to keep moving off my work bench. My truck is saying “What About Me”. It is time for my yearly oil change at 3,000 miles or less ever July like clock work since my 2003 retirements. ** Please share opinions on the 3,000 mi or less oil change. I had to change ea 6 mo when the truck was in 4 yr warranty. Due to a requirement of 6 months/5,000 miles I have changed with 1,000 miles in 6 months. I use Castrol 5-30 with a synthetic blend as the Dealer. **My last issue is my therapist is telling me my pain is from laying flat on my back on my mat to change oil. I need to add 2-4” to my oil change ramp that would allow a pillow on my creeper. My thought is using my floor jack to lift a little body weight while the 09 V6 2WD Toyota 4- Runner is on the ramp (vs adding to the ramp). I like changing my oil due to personal care and inspecting the area and oil. Opinions! I purchased at 43,000 mi 12/24/10, I have 53,000 mi on now which is close to my yearly average. I purchased for off-road firewood and fishing and hauling “Stuff” in the truck shell that stays in unless the 2nd seat is needed. ** Attachments = Oil change ramps and local 1 block – 2 Mi firewood hauling. ** Keep that body moving with cautions or it will shut down on normal light past maintenances…..
