HVH is my all-time favorite. They're based in the US and send out super healthy, beautiful plants, I wholeheartedly recommend them. They update their store once a month, so keep an eye out if you don't see what you're looking for right now. :) HiddenValleyHibiscus ------- If you don't mind waiting a while, or growing from seed, I also recommend Charles Atiu's Hibiscus seeds. All of my orders have gotten here in about two weeks, and the seeds have grown beautifully. He has some gorgeous flowers. They update usually once a week. Hibiscus of Moorea -------- I have a few other suggestions, but these two are my go-to places. You might also look at Linda Lee's Hibiscus (From Taiwan) though you may go crazy figuring out how to choose out of all of her flowers. They're seriously too beautiful to pick. I've had better success with her seeds than her wood, the wood comes un-rooted, so just keep that in mind. Linda Lee ---------------------------------------------------------- All-in-all if you're looking to get some already established plants, especially if you want to order within the US, I recommend Hidden Valley Hibiscus. But definitely think about buying some seeds from one of the two other places to get started growing, so you'll have some great seedlings while you're enjoying your big blooms from HVH! :) Good luck! Hope everyone is having a great weekend! Barb! look at all of those flowers! Those violets are pretty but they are a real pest here! spread like wiregrass! You really make me miss tulips too! (I knew winter was good for something!) Is that a trillium at the top! I can't remember the last time I saw a trillium!I am sorry to hear that Al has pain, I have suffered from hip/joint pain for several years, the doctors have told me the best treatment is 'keep moving' grrrr, sometimes it is very tough to do. Regina I am happy that you are getting some rain! (I hate to complain about water from the sky but it is still raining off and on here! The plants are loving it, but it sure makes it unpleasant outside (muggy, mosquitos and soggy) That Brug is beautiful! I can't wait till mine bloom, I have 3 potted and one in the ground, I just love those leaves! Even if they didn't have flowers My elephant ears hit the ground running too, all this water really perked them up. I cannot believe the size of the leaf on one of them (Is it my imagination or are those leafs still growing?!?!) So nice to see everyone's photos! I don't have many fancy ones as they're very hard to come by here in Canada. My collection is mostly common varieties or my own seedlings from imported seeds. Those have not bloomed yet but hopefully I'll get some good ones. I still have a few interesting Canadian hybrids by Henri Buffinga. Those are sold in Home Depot here, I don't know if they're available in the US. This one is my favorite, it's sold under the name Moonlight. Big cream colored flowers with a yellow border and a pink eye than can be solid or spotted like in this pic. This one is "Northern Light", another good one. It tolerate more shade than my Moonlight and bloom like crazy. This one is "Sunlight". Smaller than the previous two and the bush is not as nice IMHO but still beautiful. The center is white with just a hint of pink. I also had this one called "Purple Galaxy" but it didn't survive the winter. :( I'll try to get another one this spring. As you can see from this photo the flowers varied a lot. It didn't bloom as much as my Northern Light or Moonlight tough.

I've been doing research and found out that Silver Memories as well as Purple Pashima are not rooters. So I grafted them, but I still have some of each of those I'll still try to root just because I'm stubborn and they callused. Moorea Timera Beauty isn't showing any callus at all so I grafted some of it too. Take some weeks to see if the grafts take. Whatever of these that don't do well, I won't worry about it. I'll have hibiscus to practice with and meanwhile, I'm working on rooting a bunch more Pride of Hankins cuttings to provide ample root stock later. Seeds are the most fun, and trading cuttings or seeds with each other when the weather is better.
