The question is, would growers like an area to chat 'live' with other hibiscus lovers? I am open to pursuing a live arena that can answer questions, 'immediately'.

Might be interesting. I learn better by seeing/hearing repetitive information and if by watching the same questions/answers being discussed over and over it many topics would become better assimilated.

Are you suggesting that may become a feature on this site?

I'm with RetiredFlorida. I think we all get more out of talking about a subject. It would be worth a try. My vote is YES!

is this just a one time thing???? We at the Kitchen Table have a chat room available all the time... One of the ladies set it up. We used to go there every night...we got to know each other quite well.. But a couple of them got jobs and couldn't stay up until all hours of the night like some of us....LOL Every now and then I'll post that I'm going to chat and leave a link...then some will come over and chat. It's fun. patti

It wasn't much, they said they'd try to time it better next time (they just filled the jars and started the PC venting, timer to put the regulator on went off just in time to end the video so no processing done at all). Next one is Oct 29 - chili. I'll try to get the link up here earlier then now that I know it's not going to be on freshpreserving.com I did learn something new - the jar wrench they have for $10 adjusts to fingertip tight! I thought it was just for opening jars - too bad since local supermarket had one on clearance, DD picked it up but I told her I didn't need it. Might have been handy to get for $7...

Not sure if this site is comfortable with live chat apps. I have run IRC servers over the years and will start a new one. maybe/hope someone takes notice.

I have spent some time today building an active chat room. It is currently hosted on one of my servers so I can control security and safety for users. I am still working on the web based interface for individuals not familiar with IRC.
