It is my understanding that 'Lord Baltimore' is a sterile selection. Check out the link below. My plant will usually set one or 2 seed pods per summer, but I have never been able to get them to germinate and I am sure if they did germinate that they would not be a clone of 'Lord Baltimore'. Lucy, yea, it's a hardy HIB. but, I can't put them out now, they'll die. Buuuuuuuuuuuut, do I put them in a pot in the growing room? Or do I put them in a pot and put them in the dark cool garage with the brugs? Just not sure what to do. I'm like you. I'm excited. 35 brugs down there, and another 20+ (I think 25) up here, I can't keep lifting and planting year after year forever. So, I'd like to give Mom some perennial gorgeous reds. So I ordered all these LBs for her. (The Mountain Magic brugs aren't as "red" as the claims are. More like a dark dusty pink.) I put down some "fireballs" hibs for her, hoping they will make it through the winter. But I've got these LBs also. Just need to know, start them again now? Or put them into the dark garage?

Hi Paul. I overwintered Hardy Hibiscus Moscheutos several times inside the house.I did not put them to sleep, i let them grow.Put them at sunny window and watered a little just enough to keep the soil moist. After they started to grow fast i increased the amount of water and gave them some food.If you do not have sunny window,any window should be ok.i think. Hala.

I planted two Luna's last year. This spring when they where about 1 foot high I started pinching them. They are now blooming profusely and not flopping. I find that certain plants will flop if they are reaching for the sun.
