I think you just took a picture of the same daylily from a different angle with Wine Delight and Music Man :-)) Even those petals flair out in both of them.

Nice pictures! Banned in Boston really jumped out at me out of this group! Different coloring and form! Will have to check that one out!

Reine Victoria was one of my first antique roses and has remained a favorite. La Reine is one of my very best and the size of the plant is not intimidating for newcomers to antique roses. This rose is the easiest to sell at my yearly plant sale because of its shape, color and rich fragrance. I like your choices very much. Spring bulbs are always cheerful.

Very nice pictures. Isn't it a treat when a bonus plant thrills you so much? I have several in my garden that I love, and never would have considered if they hadn't been sent as gift plants. I love the bold colors of CONCRETE BLOND and ALABAMA JUBILEE, but I have to choose PEACHES AND GOLD as my favorite (maybe because it reminds me of orange sherbert, which is sounding pretty good right now in the heat!). I think a couple of us from the GW traveled to Cottage Gardens this summer, I did, and I live in NE Ohio. More than worth it. Brent was very nice and helpful, My sister in law and I both wanted Jungle Beauty, but he only had about five small fans left, He gave me two fans for free and threw in the sign. Then, he took about a 25% discount off my total order and he gave us seedling clumps for no charge.!!!!! His gardens by the house are beautiful, and out in the field everything was well labeled. He dug many up himself along with ,I think, a nephew who was helping. We are going to make this a yearly trip. I say go for it, his daylilies are healthy and he is very helpful and generous. hmmm, I thought the same thing but Wine Delight is planted near my blue delphinium (sp?) and you can see the blue petals on the ground near Wine Delight.Its also planted near our stone wall, no grass near it.
Music Man is planted in the new front beds with only other daylilies which I can see in the photo and the grass walkway behind it. Music Man's petals are much darker than Wine Delight. It's just odd how two daylilies look so similar in shape and color.

Banned In Boston looks like a bad hair day (all those ruffles sticky straight up) but in a good way. I like the coloring also.

Lovely blooms, juliany! I especially like 'Sea Gold' and 'Princeton Eye Glow' - I've never seen those before. Where are you in NY? I'm up near Binghamton. It's been a good bloom season for me so far; I hope yours is going well too.

I'm excited to see your Banned In Boston! It's absolutely gorgeous! I planted that one this Spring, but not sure if I'll get any blooms yet this year.
I also have Trahlyta, but mine curls back more than yours.

You sure have a beautiful variety of blooms.

Jean: Arctic Blaze is definitely a keeper. I was so surprised when three of the blooms opened at the same time. Real nice photo op. Recent purchase too. Purchased it from David's Dazzling Daylilies. He has some terrific plants and what a variety he grows. Nice thing he is only 45 minutes away from our place.

Laurelin: Princeton Eye Glow came from Mystic Meadows as bareroot in early June. Sent up many scapes and blooms. Not disappointed with that one. Sea Gold came from EZ Plant in Michigan back in Mid May. Lots of buds still coming. Nice healthly bareroot plants.
Your about an hour away from us. We are on the west side of Seneca Lake between Watkins Glen and Geneva. I'm a former NJ native and we moved up here permanently about 10 years ago.Love this area and can't beat the convenience of all the wineries :-).

Julie: Thanks. Trahlyta I purchased from Mystic Meadows as a bareroot back in early June. It sent up many scapes and lots of blooms. Unfortuately, it's on it last one :-(.

I have to say, this has been a great start this year with so many of the daylilies blooming during their first year. Hopefully we get through winter with no losses but if we do, it means we can replenish in the spring :-).

LOL Julia, we're practically neighbors! Glad to "meet" you. I love the Finger Lakes. My sister just got married at the Garrett Chapel on Keuka Lake - what a setting!

I'll have to check out those vendors. I'm taking a critical look at my daylilies, and I'm going to cull the ones that I don't care for or that don't do well for me. I'll post on the exchange forum in August; maybe my "also rans" will be someone else's treasures!

Great looking blooms. Does AL have a pink tint to it?

okbt: I took the pic of Arctic Blaze when the sun was coming up and it reflected on the blooms.
I didn't notice any pink tint but when the next buds open I'll inspect it more closely.
