I wish I had more pictures. Some of the trees growing here were heavily deformed by snow. One tree, in particular, was only five feet tall, however the trunk from bottom to tip was probably thirteen feet long - it's trunk was bent so much that it formed a complete circle back to the ground. Soil was basically white ground pumice, nothing else. I believe I've got a few more pictures of deformations in this grove somewhere, I'll have to look though.

Your red rose is stunning - I want to reach out and touch it. I also love the picture of your Tango Lilies, the little bit of blue (can't tell what they are, some kind of salvia?) really helps to set off the warm colors of the lilies. I especially like pictures showing an entire flower bed, and I would love to see another shot of this same bed in a few days when it is really going strong as you have hundreds of buds showing. Crafty. I have transplanted plants growing inflos and not had a problem although once they start flowering it is more tricky. The main trick is not shocking the plant. This involves removing the entire soil and root ball without tearing it. I run a long knife around the inside of the pot and then push on the bottom of the pot to break the whole pot-load loose. Put the pot almost on its side to pull the plant out and be slow and careful. I already have the amount of new mix to bring the top of my old plant soil to the level I want it in the new pot (for example from a one gallon to a five I fill the five almost half full of new soil so when I put the old soil on top the surface is about one inch below the top of the pot. I use my fingers to loosen the old roots but I do not cut them like I normally would if there was no inflo.) Put the plant into the new pot and quickly fill around the sides and then water with B-1 (and I use superthrive and seaweed extract too). If the plant goes into shock it could drop the inflos but this is not very common if you are quick and organized in your transplant. If you do not want to risk at all, you can drop a same sized pot in the ground and place your pot inside this pot. Now your pot will not fall over and you can root prune or transplant at the end of the season. Bill
