A few still blooming Thursday

Daylilies are dropping fast, here are some still blooming or reblooming

Right now I cannot remember the name of this double that has a rebloom scape

S. David Kirchoff has a couple of rebloom scapes, I don't think it is supposed to be a rebloomer, but can't complain. Had 2 blooms open this morning, but of course I knocked one off trying to get a good picture of it :)

I bought this one at a daylily farm several years ago, lost the tag. I remembered what it was for a while, should have made a note of it then. One of those things, I think I won't forget that one, & of course I do. A bright gold late one

A little thunder going on outside right now. I hope it does rain a bit, often seems to be much ado about nothing. We're not desperate for rain, but I should water if it doesn't rain in the next few days.

That first double you have blooming is really interesting. I finally had to break down and spritz the flowers a little this evening.

I still have to water some today. I am waiting for the sun to get low so it is not as hot. Nancy, I find I have to write everything down and do tags as otherwise sooner or later I forget. Even if I remembered for years, this year I was having trubles remembering. Must be getting old :-(

S. David Kirchoff is really pretty but I like the bright gold one best. It looks like it has great jump at you color.

Maryl - I wonder why Linda Beck doesn't perform for you. You certainly have the heat she loves. Hoochie Coochie Man does glow in the sunlight. It was my favorite red for a couple of years. This is a replacement plant. I lost the original in a pot two winters ago. HCM keep its color all day in 92 degree heat with a heat index of 97 and lots of humidity. A lot of Kirchhoff's newer reds have HCM in the background. Debra

You have a lot still blooming! Seven Seals is very pretty. This has been a year for odd things, so Stella is going right along with it. I really like your red seedling. It is doing well and bud building is such a nice trait. It is miserable here too. 95, 96 for the next few couple of days, then lower 90s...we won't cool off till October but they are promising cool then. We can only hope. My garden is suffering lack of work, and I know mine is far from the only one. Ah well. Looking forward to next year. kay

Just opened your post, scrolled down to look at the flowers and something interesting happened. When the cursor hit your unknown yellow, the name "Burning Daylight" appeared. Could this be the name you are looking for? Like your flowers, hope you get some rain. Avedon

If I don't write it down, it is gone! Love that big yellow one. But hey, blooms are wonderful this time of year, right?

I hope you get rain. After all my whining yesterday, the good Lord blessed us with an inch and a half! WE haven't had a rain like that all year.

I remembered the name of the yellow one a little while after posting, at least that is the name I am remembering, & went into Photobucket to label the photo before I forgot it again :) And the 1st double is Gemini Jack. I have a list of my daylilies written down, & tags beside most all of them. I've had Burning Daylight for so long, & in the same spot, who would think I could forget that one? It is a nice bright one, late too, so that's good. Blooms pretty well.
Wedding Gown has really nice timing. It had its very last bloom today, looks like the rebloom scape will have a bloom tomorrow.
It only rained enough to wet the grass, but it did cool it down. Supposed to be really hot again tomorrow though, then rain this weekend should cool everything off. Hope so, I think our upstairs AC is out. Doesn't seem to be very cool & we had some problems in the spring. Ah well, guess it is time for a new unit.

All are looking good, don't you just love it when you can't remember a name. I can call most of my DL's NOID. My seedlings are the same way I did label but the labels faded
and now a lot of them also join the NOID ranks.
