I am sooooo jealous! Over here we've finally moved from snow to rain, and the sun is supposed to show up some time tomorrow, so spring is on the way, but we're still pretty short on blooms. You may have pushed me over the edge to get one of these! Enjoy! Jim

I was the same way.....but not with roses. I have a full time job, and it is all I can do to take care of the garden I have and its problems, without roses. I love them to look at. I keep babying a climbing rose that was here when I first moved in, but it gets mildrew really bad, and I can't seem to find the time to baby it like I should. The lilies are so much easier for me. But, I have quite a garden of part shade in the back, and part shade to sun in the front. Some of my favs are hosta, aroids (alocasion, colocasia, jacks, herbs, astilbes, petasites, hibiscus (hardy), hollyhocks, azaleas, hydrangeas, clematis, and morning glories. Philadelphia, I bet, is a wonderful growing zone. We're expecting high 90's to 100's next week. I hate the heat. Susan

Ive got the usual crocus, daffodils and snowdrops. just seeing them blooming makes me and I love seeing all the new growth breaking out on my shrubs, trees and perennials. a few days ago i saw some of my hostas little 'toes' pushing up through the ground and my corydalis are up too! Sometimes I think this is my favorite time of year... just watching my gardens awaken from a deep winter's sleep. of course...they are calling for rain/snow flurries/sleet tomorrow
