I'm just moving to Peterborough and the previous owners were not gardeners nor am I allowed to take many of my plants from the old house so I'm going to be doing seeds this year. I'd love to 'buy' from the swap but don't have much to 'swap'. I'd love to do the one in the fall too. I'll keep my eyes and ears open for next summer because by then I'll have stuff big enough to divide

I'll let him give you his phone number. It is so worth going to their house! Now I know they travel a couple times a year, so I would contact them well in advance if you are making a special trip. While visiting their home, I felt like I was a kid in a candy store!! Little starters to huge trees 2-3 times my height!!! And as the breeze would blow, scents of various plumeria blooms filled the air---like heaven. :) He has something for everyone--a lot of good standard plumeria & so many what I would call, highly sought after plumeria. A distinct advantage in buying from his home or at a show is I was able to get some beautifully multi-branched plants that would have been impossible to ship. It was just SO HARD to pick just a few...but I am very happy!! Craftymama: WOW- 67 plants! I'd say you are hooked by plumeria! I can see how that could 'easily' happen! I really had to 'hold back' at Emerson's place--I figured I can always go back 'to visit'!! I think I'm going to have to now work these plants into any future 'home budget talks' with my husband!!! Ha Ha...

well I still have not hear from gardendreamer so I trully cannot tell you weather she got the box post office says it was delievered on feb 10th 9:14am . I cannot afford to replace another box this month so I just trully hope that she is haven computor problems & will still get the box back out in the mail to aprillsgardens . & if not well girls I trully tried my best to recruit Honest responible & reliable gardeners for a fun robin . but things do happen for one reason or another Don't give up for I still have hope that the box will show up :))so the robin can finish out . I'm sure gardendreamer won't let us down. I sent her a letter with my phone # so she can maybe call me . thank you all for playing sue

Just saw this post, so it may be a little too late. however walking down the main road in canandaigua is nice. There are many shops there to go and look into. Also the Sonnenburg mansion is nice. It is a nice place to walk around and relax. They have been fixing up their gardens there and it is getting better and better. There isn't a huge nightlife there however there may be some concerts that your neices may enjoy at the fingerlakes performing arts center. It is really nice there. Not sure if you can rent a boat on the lake however I am sure they would love that.
