My pumpkins have no females, Jack O' Lantern Variety, Zone 6

Something is wrong with my pumpkins, they're odd.
In a nutshell, I've had all male flowers for almost 3 weeks, with the vines really starting to grow. I live in zone 6, and my watermelons, which mind you are RIGHT NEXT to them, already have swelling fruits. I started late this year, June 1st I believe. Is this normal? I honestly haven't fed them at all because I personally believe if they survived through evolution, they can survive in most soil conditions. I put them in organic potting mixture in the ground. So is this normal? Ask any questions you need to help diagnose my pumpkins. I'll be here. And they're Jack O' Lantern pumpkins. I have a LOT of male flowers too, mostly near the stems of the original plants.
