Really winding down here, due to heat and drought.

Tom Wise, final bloom, I love this big one!

Blue Magician, will just have a few blooms

Dominic, final bloom

NOID, looks a lot like Dominic

Glenn Seedling, our most bountiful bloomer, just about gone.

Margaret's Pink, last bloom

Jay, just starting

Morocco, a lot of these were bleached out to pale yellow, due to the heat.

Born to Run, triplets, just about bloomed out.

Decatur Cherry Smash, just starting

NOID, last bloom

Smoky Mt. Autumn, I think, last bloom

Lovely blooms and so sad that some are the last ones. I do like JAY the best. That color just jumps out at you.

Pretty! I like Jay. Nice to have something just starting. Mine are winding down fast and I just posted a bunch of last blooms too.
I like Tom Wise too and my favorite is Smoky Mt.Autumn.
Purple NOID reminds me of Swirling Water.

I got the Hibard intros because I wanted to seriously extend my bloom season with late and extra late bloomers so my daylily bloom season could go on and on. So I started with Olallie intros, Thomas intros and the Hibard intros. I have since that first start added much more too. So the Hibards were planted in the fall of 2008. Small fans, one or usually two fans. Sometimes more. She only is about 25 minutes away from here so I had gone over and pick up the daylilies and saw here garden. Its not as if she housted off the small fans on me. Thats all she HAD were small fans. Yet when I planted them in my compost rich soil they all took off and grew. I knew they would. Ok, so my point of all this about the Hibards is that about 4 of them look about the same as last year and need to shape up some. The rest, at least ones that started blooming (not all of then have yet) look just so absolitely much, much better than last year. Blooms are bigger and more of them. More scapes and much higher budcounts than last year. I really, really love most of them and am very glad I got the Hibard intros. That is the more sunbleached version of COUNTDOWN TO FALL. The early morning version is more solid colored were the entire flower is closer to the darker part of the flower pictured.

I'm a Simplicty in Motion fan too. That nice clump shot makes it even more lovely. All American Chief is really nice, that goes for Tall Dark Stranger too. I have had some blooms partially open in the afternoon, usually that means the bloom isn't going to be it's best. Sherry

Kate, I like yellows slightly more than I like oranges. And the color of Tuscawilla Tigress is the shade of orange I particularly dislike. But I make an exception of Tuscawilla Tigress, it gets a lot of attention and blooms well. Unless they are splotchy constantly, or distorted, I get rid of very few good bloomers! Kay, I am liking Cradle of Bethlehem too, seems to have good habits too. Debra, what can I say, I'm gooood! LOL. But then, I did not move mine in May either, that does set them back. The first year I had Wild Irish, it was splotchy. I get a bloom or 2 early in the season that are splotchy then it clears up. It is extra short this year though. And of yellows, which I am not fond, I don't like the bright bold yellow, but those are the ones that get the most attention. Sorta like the squeaky wheel, so I have a place for a few. Thanks Laura, Claudine's Charm is always one of my favs, now that is the color combo I go for. Julia, isn't it the truth, many have gotten a 2nd chance after a good year and are still here. Getting a good rain today. Leaving me bored and stuck inside. I go outside and sit on the porch looking out at the flowers. And the traffic go by....

I like Blue Magician the best; you can see the parentage of Court Magician. Does it hold fairly well? The short scapes of Born to Run are a disappointment here. Swirling Water is mid-late season, so that would fit your NOID

Well, you still have some very pretty ones. I just love MARGARET'S PINK.. , and the RED JAY is gorgeous.My favorite one here is SSMOKEY MOUNTAIN AUTUMN.That is a beauty.

I agree that the lavender/purple NOID looks like SWIRLING WATER. The black red NOID has the same shape of ED MURRAY.

I have Jay too, still going strong, one of the few that are in my garden. Most everything is finished :( And Smokey Mt Autumn is gorgeous. Love your NOID, but they are all great.
