Where to buy outdoor fountain statuary and basins in North GA?

When we bought our house a couple of years ago, an outdoor fountain came along with it. We fell in love with it! The name of the statuary is Lady By The Well.

Unfortunately it didn't work at first but with some tweaking, we were able to get it to work and enjoyed it until I knocked over the lady. I broke her neck. I was able to find some cement and repaired her, but I had to paint her, the basin and pedestal in order to cover the black cement. I also had to patch the basin because it was leaking.

Well...a couple of weeks ago as I was cleaning her I, once again, broke my Lady by the well statue and the basin has begun leaking quite a bit. I believe it is time to replace the beloved Lady.

My husband and I found a statuary in White, GA that has the statue of the Lady by the Well, but they don't have a basin and pedestal like the one I have. The basin they provide really (to me) doesn't fit because it is a huge shell that would be too large for my deck, as well as it just doesn't look right with the style of statue.

Are there any other statuaries in North Georgia that might have the same set for which I'm looking? I've tried several different small ones in the vacinity, but none of them even have the Lady by the Well statue.

Here's pictures of my fountain and statue so you can see what I'm looking for. I would be happy with a grey concrete one if I could just find the set.

The pottery in Commerce, GA has lots of stuff.

I'd love to see the picture, but I think the link you specified isn't quite right. You can mouse over the link and see what you put - it seems to reference an address on GW and also on Geocities combined.

I drafted up some thoughts earlier this morning about engineering, so apologize that this overlaps with what Yardvaark said to an extent. I come and go on the issue of an overall master plan. I think it has to be understood that a professional has to work to a complete master plan because the plan functions as a contract with the client. But a homeowner does not have to enter into a contract with themselves. As long as you and your husband can agree, you are perfectly free to start at the top and the bottom, where you more or less know what you want, and see how things work when you meet in the middle. Nothing precludes you redoing one or more elements if they don't end up working the first time, if that is what you want to do. Your site, however, is more complicated that the average. A homeowner with a flat lot can putter around on it ad nauseum, or hire whoever to do whatever, without much consequence except a mess or an eyesore (or a brilliant creative outcome, you never know). But because your house is at the bottom of your steep slope, at minimum you want your solution to be engineered. You do not ever want your landscaping - hardscape, water, and all - to slide down into your house. Municipal requirements are likely designed to minimize this possibility, so you should probably start with familiarizing yourself with those. This means that whoever you hire has to sketch their plans, or have them sketched, for submission and assessment - to the municipality, or to an engineer. Even if you design yourself, that is something that has to be done. You obviously somehow made a bunch of decisions about your kitchen facelift together, where both a design and a building code have to be observed. Perhaps you can look at how you found an agreed-upon strategy for that project to find a good approach for the yard. But again, I would reduce the focus on getting an LA hired and increase the focus on identifying what you both do and do not want from the process and the outcome. Many garden statuary are imported so it's best to find out the names of local manufaturers and to ask if they hold factory sales. You just might find one near your area. My garden find for the day, is surprisingly from a card shop.. Carlton Cards is holding sales and I got my coloured glass windchimes for around $13. I plan to take it apart and not to utilize it as windchimes. (one windchime is enough) I like the look of the sun shining through glass but it's been quite expensive to find stained glass work for outdoor purposes. This way, I can hang the glass on branches around the yard and feel great about the splashes of colours. Right now I'm regretting not purchasing those really neat statues of plump pigeons to set in one or two corners of the garden. An element of surprise is always a necessary thing for me when designing.

Yes, all you need is the shower valve, a length of copper 1/2" pipe going vertical to an eared transition elbow from that shower valve, a shower arm screwed into that elbow and the hand-held shower wand screwed onto the shower arm. The PEX pipe coming from the house will attach to transition fittings soldered to the mixing valve. You can use individual 1/4 turn frost-type sillcocks coming through the house wall to supply hot and cold to the PEX if you wish but these just complicate the transition to the PEX. I would just install 1/2" ball-type valves with bleed screws on them, inside the house and then come downward and then out through the house wall with copper to a 1/2" copper coupling. That way, the coupling can be undone at the end of the season and the irrigation guy can blow out each line with ease. Just open the bleed screws on the valves inside the house and any water in the pipe after the valve will drain out via gravity. The lines coming from those shutoff valves inside the house must be installed so that they will self-drain via gravity if possible. If not, then you will have to stick a pot under the bleed screws when you open them up because the water still in the pipe will flow out of them instead of going the other way. If the couplings are installed so that the hot is different than the cold, then the hot/cold won't be connected incorrectly in the spring. If you look at a coupling, you will understand what I mean because the rotating nut is on one side of the coupling unit. Have him flip one of the couplings opposite to the other. The Moen sillcock unit mentioned by redwood won't do you any good if your shower unit isn't in the same location. That sillcock is a hot/cold mixing valve. It might be kind of em-bare-assing to run from the shower to wherever the sillcock is, in order to adjust the water temp. Also, there would be no point in having a shower valve in the shower stall because that sillcock delivers mixed hot/cold water through a single line. The single handle mixing valve requires only one large hole vs two smaller holes for the valve with individual hot/cold taps. Don't worry about what's good for the irrigation dude. Choose what's best for your needs. If I was doing this shower for my family, I would choose a single-handle mixing valve, preferably Moen.

Dusty, what you are missing is that the aerial photo doesn’t give us details that would help us help YOU with the layout. Is it dead flat? Does water puddle anywhere? Do you need minimum clearances between buildings? Setbacks on front, rear, and side? Keeping some tree buffer is a good idea, but you didn’t really draw that in on your pictures either. If you go to your local GIS page you can get contours of the property. Here are some of mine: Now, if I just showed you the aerial picture you’d see this: And then you’d have no clue that it’s on a decent hillside, and over two acres. Asking where to put a house on the aerial picture is stupid, because you can’t tell what you’re looking at. It looks like there might be a slight hill along the top rectangle and off the driveway leg of it, not a substantial climb and only really one spot to put the bulk of of house. It doesn’t give you a sense of how water flows or where a common sense location for an outbuilding or pool would be, either. None of these things could someone on the Internet glean from the one middle picture. Even one basic elevation shot would help: That itty bitty van behind the bush at the cul de sac is my enormous Nissan van. At least with this picture you can tell the basic elevations, view, and even sun exposure. And ALL of those should impact how you position your home and any accessory buildings. We want to help, but we need more and better data. Make sense?

The pic still didn't come up, but it sounds like a statue that I own. I work at AmericasMart in downtown ATL and I purchased it from one of our showrooms, Athens Stonecasting. Ok, I see it now. I will go down to the showroom later to see if anything looks like that. If so, they occasionally sell their samples, so if you are in the neighborhood you could come by to purchase it. But...before I get ahead of myself, I will check it out later and post the results.

Ok, I went down to the showroom and they had the wide type of basins and pedestals but none that matched YOUR pic exactly. You would have to buy the entire fountain, but the prices range between 93.00 to 133.00, so that's not ridiculously high.
