There is something taking over my side yard (that was english ivy) that looks akin to pachysandra but the leaf is not glossy, has a slightly variegated look w/dark green leaves and whitish veining. It does not vine but instead comes up from a cluster center then produces 6-8 3-4" stems w/poker-chip size leaves. It has spread like wildfire between this year and last, completely smothering out the ivy I planted.

When the ground is still damp they are easily pulled out, but there are a jillion so I don't relish the task. Maybe I should just leave them? They're not unattractive, but seem so invasive they must be some type of spurge??

I'll try to take a photo tomorrow and put it here. I haven't a clue, so if this sounds familiar or anyone can give me a suggestion so that I may do a Google image search, it would be much appreciated.
