groundcover for pathway full sun

Okay so we are in the middle of putting in flagstone stepping stones. The pathway will be about 20 feet by about 30 inches and sited in full sun. One side will be bordered by a timber (herb bed on the other side of the timber) and the other side will be bordered by the Bermuda grass lawn. I am trying to decide what to plant. (And as usual I am thinking too much about it.) I want something that can fend off the bermuda grass that will try to creep in and be fairly economical to plant. I think I need about 60 plants so I am trying to avoid paying too much per plant. Also the stones will have gravel in between them.

I was considering Blue Star Creeper because I know I saw flats at Lowes, but not sure if I want to maybe mix something in with it. Or maybe creeping Thyme? Any ideas, thoughts?
