The same thing happened here over the past two days. Many parts of Nashville got some nice rain showers, but only brief sprinkles here on Friday and nothing yesterday. My plants really need a deep soaking rain.

I love all your clump shots, and the white lily looks so elegant. I can understand why you would put it in several place. The pond looks very inviting, especially with the nice hanging basket nearby.

That white lily also has a wonderful scent. That hanging basket of red petunias is a home made job. I bought a flat of those red petunias which I planted in ground. But I had a six pack leftover. So I always keep hanging baskets from the year before and reuse the basket. Put new potting mix in and planted and I had my red petunia basket.

They are all very pretty, as usual, Rita, but I like Tikal Maid the best. We badly need a rain as well, and it is still very hot and humid, just no rain.

Lots of nice clumps still blooming for you but, once again, my favorite is the white lily. I bet it smells great, too.

Its not the same white lily or even the same type as the one that I posted yesterday. Yesterdays has no scent while these are nicely fragrant. I bought what was supposed to be a batch of mixed colors (no whites) of hybrid lillies that were supposed to get really tall. They all bloomed white. While the white is pretty, it did not work for me were it was. So last fall I dug up all the white bulbs, gave some away and put others in afew clumps around the yard.

Love the color on Watermelon Luminosity, but I think my overall favorite is Social Graces.

Kay- MULAN is one of my Culver intros.

Sharon- I have some rosey red minnows in the pond and two Shubunkins (a type of patterned goldfish). The fish have been in there all year from spring of 2008 but never made little ones before.

Oh,I love that SOCIAL GRACES and TIKAL MAID. And I really like thos white lilies. The best thing for me is the little pond.Its so pretty,and I have missed mine so much.I use to have a in ground pond with a waterfall at one end,and use to like sitting by it in the evening and feeding the fish and watching them.I got rid of it when the snakes moved in it,and had built above ground pool for my fish, but,last summer it just got too much to manage and I got rid of it.Well, got rid of the fish,still have the pool.

We got so much rain the other day it flooded the project area. Still have just a little water this morning. My plants loved the bath they got from all the rain.Another thunderstorm is predicted for late this afternoon. Oh well, if I could send you some rain I would.

Great pictures! Love Social Graces & Mulan. Nice pond too. I have a couple of small ponds, wish I had just put in 1 larger one. I've never quite been able to work out a nice edging for the pond.

Beautiful daylilies as usual. I really like Tikal Maid. In the first photo, who is the pink daylily in the top left corner, I really like that one. I also like the white one with the pink edge that's surrounded by Watermelon Luminosity. What is it called? Marg

I love all the shots but especially like Tikal Maid. It's new here this year so I know what to expect after it clumps/ WIsh we could have given you some of our rain here, Rita. We were under a rainfall warning and the lawn is still squishy. But the torrental downpours finally left. More rain today and through the week. Dalylies are exploding but the roses are knocked down. We needed rain but that was a bit much. cheers and keep the pics coming. lloyd

Marg- That one in the first picture on the right is STARBLAZE. It is not white, just looks lighter than normal there in the picture. Usually a cream yellow but very pretty. The pinkish to the left is BLISSFUL BEAUTY. Got it from Maryotts in 2007.

Nancy- I started with one 35 gallon 'pond' got another 35 gallon that I put inground which is in the very backyard. Then I got the 300 gallon stocktank years later which is my 'big' pond. I wish all of them were bigger. I just don't really have room for another pond although there is one place were I could take out everything growing there (roses, lilies, honeysuckle vines and some coneflowers) and do a liner pond. It would have to be liner pond because of the irrigular shape and so I could have it deep enough not to freeze to the bottom. My 300 gallon is ok but those 35 gallons just freeze all the way. Nothing overwinters in there.

Lloyd- If you have never had Culver intros before you will be happily surprised at the branching and blooming on the Culver intros. They are just wonderful. TIKAL MAID, GIGGLE CREEK and FOX POINT are all of his three instant rebloomers that I have and I love them. All very heavy blooming and they clump up quickly.

Jean- My fish are not really any trouble. They eat up any mosquito larvea and other than having to clean the pump about weelly and net any stray leaves that fall into the pond, there is not much to do. The water stays clear right down to the bottom.
