hedychuim 'Thai spirit spp'

Hi,this is for any-one in Thailand especialy near Bang-kok.

I was looking for Hedychium "Thai spirit".It is a fabulous clear orange one that I saw advertized at Aloha tropicals! I go over to Bangkok often so would love to know where I could pick some up.

Last year I bought the peachy/apricot one from there and it is doing very well here,remaining stunning even in the middle of winter with very pretty green slightly twisted leaves with long drip tips.

Any info on "Thai spirit" would be most welcome.

    You should have posted this is the main forum as it gets more traffic, and this isn't a photo post.

    You probably won't find Thai Spirit available for sale in thailand. It is a wild collected plant that was brought back to the US and propagated. The native Hedychium are rarily offered in the markets there, especially one so rare and difficult to find. There are cheaper sources for it in the states though.

    Thank-you Tim Chapman.According to Stocks tropicals the plant was wild collected in the north of Thailand,so there are chances yet.But of course the north is vast,so leads would be good.
    PS I dont know how this message got to the gallery area,mystery!
