I am a novice gardener and a "Pardon Me" repeat daylily in the garden I inherited only bloomed once last summer, and so far this summer, only once again. Also, in May I planted 6 Stella d'oro repeaters on a slope, and after the buds that were on them when I bought them bloomed, only one has formed buds again and bloomed again. What is going on? Should I not expect so much of the Stellas the first year? Both get plenty of sun and they are adequately watered, and the Stellas are firmly rooted--just don't bloom. Would fertilizer help--I put Osmocote in when I planted the Stellas, so I would think that would do for now. I was covering a slope with plants, so didn't buy large specimens--am I expecting too much of them? Thanks, alleycallie
