Comments (101)Aha, you're just having a moment like that commercial girl, "we like it, we want more, we want more!" I've probably already mentioned her in this discussion, she's my hero the past few weeks. So you've got a lot going on, but it just doesn't seem like enough. I think you're in good company, with EVERYONE! I would get more stuff, but I've got everything they have that I want, at least for now. Probably the same in your pots too. Literally no sun? If you told me that already, I'm too busy remembering the words to 2000 songs instead, you know how those brain cells just do whatever they want. Guess that would explain why I didn't send any, knew that at the time. Speaking of close, and being forgetful, Mother's Day is Sunday. Is everyone on top of that situation? After lunch, I'm going to "finish" those mini gardens I've been babbling about. Will put pics in the thread on house plants when ready, might b tomorrow. Julianna, your beautiful mosaics and seashells got my mind going on those quite a bit. You wouldn't know to look at what I've done but believe it, a flood of ideas, not even necessarily related, germinated because of looking at your beautiful work. It made me want to make everything not only more pretty, but much more personally detailed... in general... about gardening in particular....See Morepleas help a confused canister vacuum shopper
Comments (12)I'm not sure if the information you received re: s2 is correct. I have always understood it to be a "lesser" quality than the s5 (thus the price difference). This is what a Canadian on-line seller says: "Miele S2 Series Econo Line Canister Vacuums The Miele S2 Economy line offers many features found in the S4 & S5 series units at an economical price point meant to attract those looking for an entry level vacuum cleaner. Missing from the Miele S2 Contour and Miele S2 Momentum are the sealed body and bag compartments. This is vital to ensuring true sealed HEPA filtration which cannot be offered on the S2 models. The Miele S4 and Miele S5 canister models also offer more robust plastics to ensure durability and performance." Comments (9)My cats slumber happily through my cleaning, using the 11 year old Red Star and the 4 year old Champagne models of the famous Miele vacuum. Prior to Miele, they'd haughtily depart the room being vacuumed and let me know what they thought of my interrupting their siestas. Our pets know quality when they hear it! :)...See Moreheating confusion
Comments (5)Thanks baymee for the suggestion. I have been looking at them. I have gotten confused with the cost per mth. to run it using various heating cost calculators. One of the problems with using the ducting I have now is that the bay room is not being heated. Although the wood boiler co. that installed the system said "Oh we will have to put lots of vents in the bay room" (because of the large windows) none were done. His reasons were concern of cracking the foundation wall (even though he was well aware of it prior to the work being done). Guess it is simply the labour budget ran out and the customer pays for their error in judgement. If the heat loss calculation is correct at 56,674 does this mean a heating system has to put that much out? I am drawn to baseboard heat because it is 100% efficient (no heat loss via ducting), quiet, no maintenance, no extra parts to break, no energy consumed in warm weather. Problem is what's it going to cost per mth.????? Many thanks, Judy...See MoreCoolPlants
