Newish to SA by way of the DoD. Just saw this posting. Bought a new house and have been going crazy with landscaping, granted it seems to be a tad different than what you all do. Is this once a year or other? If once a year, would there be interest next uear for any of the following: Goji berry Honeyberry Blueberry southern Pink lemonade blueberry Brown turkey fig Everbearing fig Pineapple guava Named versions of dragonfruit (purple haze, American beauty, and another. May have other types ready to propagate by then) Pomaagranet If I can acquire good root stalk I have some great, sweet kumquats, sutsumi. Can not guarantee Meyers lemon would be ready. Loquat And this bush that grow REALLY good here. Stayed green all year and has maroon/reddish thistle haired type of flower or something. Pretty sure I can root cuttings as this thing grew from 2ft to about 5ft in 8 months And if interested may pull up rootball for this black leaved crape myrtle. It was planted in yard, thought it was dead in the winter and mowed over 3" new growth. Just seeing as some of my stuff may take time to graft or root.

We just are not a very GardenWeb pretrade bunch we just seem to show up and have fun. We have 18 RSVP's to the evite and about 10 more that I know are planning to come. It's just about 12 days until the swap. Here is the usual info and map link. Here is the basic outline for our swap. The swap usually starts at 9am sharp and we usually do door prizes and a potluck lunch around noon(or before if we get hungry!). It's usually all over by 1:30 depending on weather and how many people come. As for what to bring, the options are wide open. Plants of course, either divisions of your perennials, or cuttings you started or seeds you collected and labeled. Sometimes people bring whole plants they decided they didn't like anymore or didn't have room for. Also, if making new plants is not your thing, you can bring gardening related items, books, terra cotta pots, tools, etc... People are generally very generous and eager to make newbies feel welcome so there are no hard and fast rules about what you can bring. Also, most gardeners just don't want to take any of their own stuff back home so they are often not expecting an "even trade". Please do not take an item from someone's area without asking. A good idea is to bring an extra box to put under your table for the plants you have swapped and are taking home. Items under the tables are off limits. Also, we do have a donation jar if you want to help with the pavilion rental fee. There is also a list of things you may find useful to bring: camp chair or stool card table (there are no tables provided at the Buda pavilion) extra plant labels and marker extra plastic pots - usually someone needs these plastic bags for transporting goodies plastic nursery trays for transporting goodies gardening item to donate for door prize (optional) Your favorite food or drink for the potluck. I will bring the love grass somebody wants and I will try to dig up some other ornamental grasses. I'm bringing a few banana trees and some rosemary that rooted itself. I also have some mystery plants that I hope someone can identify. It rained (and hailed) heavily this morning so we'll see what else I can dig up this evening. I also have lots of 4" pots I can bring. Charlotte, I would like some of your white obedient plant. Patty, if you see this in time, bring me a red columbine. As usual I will bring sausage and rice. The pictures do not lie. I did enjoy myself heartily. All you guys have gorgeous dirt that your plants come in!!!!!. My limestone/caliche gravel is put to shame. LOL. I got some really special plants, some great agaves. Linda, I would have driven to Medina for that milkweed and ansonia. Special indeed and such a perfect match for my environs. I got home and almost stepped on a hog snake in my garden area that was tangled up in my tomato netting. scared the daylights out of me and my cat. The snake hissed and I had to cut him out before I started making a home for all my things. Still working on stuff. Looks like I am blowing off the C&S and LBJ wildflower sale. I got my plant fix. Thanks so much... Rebecca did finally get there with her birdbaths and we had a after swap swap on the curbside for about 45 minutes or more. She did come home with plants even though she missed the crowd.She got loads of natives loaded on her for her new place. Rebecca, you gets a raincheck next fall for the "IT" cactus.. She and her husband are great people! I love my birdbath. I am tempted to drill a hole and make it into a troth out of it but I am going to wait and let the the birds swim around.. I missed out on the cow poop. I WANT,... always next time.
