I was not trying to turn it into a cut flower. Even on the bush three days is tops for me. In fact, once it reaches the fully open state, the petals are usually falling by the end of that day. I do like it a lot, and am happy to find out it roots easily as it would be interesting to try it out in different locations. It is also setting hips which I would have believed to be unusual for a rose with such a high petal count.

Thanks all. I was happy with my buys although the plants they had for 50-$1. were not the ones I wanted, LOL! I paid $4 and $6 for these, but the taro which is in a 3-gal. pot was $3! Elizabeth and Theresa, sending you an email. Daniella, I have been wanting a magnolia, but was too cheap to buy one at the nursery, LOL! Then, when I would find a good buy, they were the ones that grow huge and are white which I didn't want. Lucy, you were good in only getting the soil. I am sure next time, you will make up for that control, LOL! Caren, I kept the cutting of your red Iochroma for a while hoping it would sprout, but finally had to discard it :-( Thanks Linda, I just love shopping for plants! Sometimes, I think that I should have gotten a job as a buyer of plants. That might have satisfied that craving, or not, LOL! Kylie, they had purple and red Iochromas, so I hope the red I got will be firey red! I potted up the one I got from you and it is doing well under a bit of shade until it gets used to our climate.
