salvia uliginosa - discuss and 2 photos

This salvia is supposed to be only hardy to zone 6, but mine has thrived for 3 years in my zone 5 bed. It is one of the few "true blue" flowers. It is tall and floppy and doesn't bloom until late in the season. (now) But I just love this color, even though it is not a fall color. The petals make a blue carpet on the grass underneath.

Anyone else grow it? What do you combine with it? I love the contrast of pink cosmos and yellow dahlias.
