Oh I love your Autumn Wood! Mine finally had 3 scapes last year and the )#%@*@&% deer ate them before a single bloom opened. I need to add Mage Quest and Palace Garden Beauty to my need list too - they are just stunning!

Ok, I am bumping Autumn Wood back up to the top of my wish list. I can't remember why I moved it down, but your picture has convinced me it needs to be back up top.
I can only hope my Ed Brown and Beautiful Edgings look a bit as lovely as yours.

Booberry, behind the lettuce is 'Early Purple Sprouting' Broccoli, which has been a bit of a disappointment. The plants are huge, but still no heads on them, and it's July! If I don't see some development soon, I'm going to rip them out and plant some more lettuce or bush beans. When I threatened to rip out the peas, they started flowering the next day, so maybe the broccoli is listening : ) There's also carrots between the onions and lettuce, but the onions are so tall that they don't show up in the picture. On the Echinaceas, all of the ones I have so far are hybrids, Sunrise, Sundown, Summer Sky, and Harvest Moon. If there was one, other than purple or white, that would come true from seed, I would try wintersowing it. I saw a thread on the perennials forum, that showed a photo of a new one coming out called Tomato Soup. As much as I love wintersowing, you guys know that I'll probably "have" to have that red Echinacea. Bonnie

Jill...you must have been posting at the same time I was, I missed you, sorry! :) Glad you enjoyed my dl's. Tammy...I'm sorry, I failed to answer your question about my camera. It's a Fuji Finepix S700. The macro and super macro capabilities are wonderful as is the 10x optical zoom. It really lets you get up close and personal with your blooms. LOL Shelly....I totally understand, my list just keep growing and growing and growing..kind of like that Energizer bunny, you know? :) I've had MM for a couple of years now, and it's really struttin it's stuff this season. FT is brand new and that was the FFO on it. It's one of my brightest dl's. Chris....You're gonna love AS, it's one of my favs, but then I've got so many fav's!! I know what you mean about staying away from the hosta forum when my hostas are still hiding. It usually just make me even more sad to see hostas up and about when I know mine are usually at least a month behind. I think I suffer from hosta depression during the winter;) Atlantis has been a very fast growing hosta for me. It's in the Abba Dabba family, which for the most part are fast growing. Jen

Alison, Thanks. Yes the magnolia is a dwarf type mag(little gem) It is not as hardy as some other varieties like Edith Bogue or Brackens Brown Beauty(these get large) or even the standard southern magnolia in my opinion. But it has only been badly damaged 1 time in the 6 yrs I have had it and by mid summer you couldn't tell. It also blooms heavy in spring and early summer with sporadic blooms mid summer, then heavy again in the fall. And thanks for noticing my chihuahua. He was definately full of personality, alot of joy and very, very missed. Dion

Oh WOW Jan GIFT FROM HEAVEN has to come live at my place for sure! I LOVE THAT ONE! Of course I like all daylilies and your pics are great, but that one has to come to my house! Thanks for sharing your beauties and providing the link.....love your links so I can look at them when i have more time.

My favorite photo is of Palace Garden Beauty. The rabbits ate my scapes, so it's nice to see a bloom of it somewhere. Your photo of it is excellent! I just love PGB, and I'm keeping my fingers crossed for rebloom. Autumn Wood is one of the all-time greats. Mine always blooms much darker than your photo. I enjoyed looking at your album again. Your latest photo fo Metaphysical Moment is a killer.

Wow, those are gorgeous Jan. I like them all and you have sooo many blooming. My PGB bloomed out today and I will post a pic of her. I think yours may be a little darker in color. keep em' comin' girlie...Ellie
