Question: Jack in the Pulpit

Does anyone grow Jack-in-the-Pulpit (Arisaema triphyllum)?

I was thinking of picking up one of these plants. The nursery owner told me they were quite rare, and i've never seen them being sold before . . . but I got home and looked it up, and it is apparently a wildflower (so can't be that rare). I'm wondering what the plant is like? It seems to be poisonous but they say that most mammals stay away from it - so I guess it wouldn't be dangerous for our dog? Is it invasive like many wildflowers are? The photos look like it is quite a large plant, that seems to like at least part-shade. Can anyone give me any more info?
