What Other Forums do you find Useful?

The amount of forums on Gardenweb are endless.

For our Far North climate, are there other forums you find useful? I like the soil and compost one, growing from seed, and have found some information that was applicable on the shrubs forum.

Some of the other forums had mostly postings from much different climates, so I didn't find information that applied to my garden.

What forums do others on Far North like?

I used to post a bit on Roses and Antique Roses - haven't been around much in the past few years though.

I love the Name that Plant Forum, I think it's the best one on GW besides the FN.

Roses, clematis, perennials, conifers and hostas ... though, I've got hosta burnout these days, lol.

Kitchen forum (I've been planning my kitchen for years...SOMEDAY everyone will be through college!) Flooring forum (2000 sq ft of nasty tile in the basement...MUST be replaced with something. Eventually.) Laundry forum (for when you need a new washer and/or dryer...the laundry obsessed are just as insane as the rose obsessed...and even more opinionated!) Landscape Design (My other favorite...I hung out there before I started hanging out here. Not for everyone...but you can learn an ENORMOUS amount.) Don't know why I'm so parenthetical this morning...and eliptical! Must be my headache.

I'm with Sandy on the thrift stores and the yard sales. I buy flat sheets for $1-$2 each and use them for the backs of quilts. I buy jeans at yard sales and use the denim to make handbags. Full skirts can have a couple of yards of fabric in them. Suede skirts and pants can be used for appliques on clothing. I use old stained sweatshirts and pants to make covers for my floor mops instead of buying the disposable wipes.

They are not "nice". I guess that's not fair but have thick skin if you go over there. I wanted to hear some thoughts on a subject once and posted more a a top starter with a short opinion from me, but did say I will not get into a debate, just wanted some insight/opinions from different people. A few of the more long winded posters cut me down about not wanting to get into a debate, said I should not come to hot topics if I don't want to debate...Yuck.

I check Northern and Canadian Gardening, but they're s-l-o-w compared to here. I really don't go anywhere else.

frugal gardening, b/c zone isn't so important. non-zonal forums pretty handy reading. This one is SO much more relevant for us frigid types though :)
