Nancy - I'm glad you got a deer fence. I must have been devastating to lose your flowers to the deer. Applique is looking wonderful in your garden, as are the others. I particularly like your photos of Art Gallery Irridescence, Patsy Carpenter and Lava Flow.

Nice Show, certainly enjoyed it. So glad you can keep the deer away now. Yes, Yes, Bluebird Butterfly, but I also like Lava Flow, been seeing it here a lot lately. I have it, but no scapes on it.

That certainly is a nice collection of blooms. How great that the deer are not able to get to them and that you can enjoy them again. LAVA FLOW is my favorite but they are all really nice.

I know those deer are so aggravating. It's just devastating. I'm glad you have the fence to keep your beauties safe. I've been trying some different things to keep them away. It's a battle. Especially when you yell at them and they just look at you. They're not even afraid of us anymore. I'm glad you are getting blooms and can share them with us.
I've tried to pick a favorite out of this bunch, but it's hopeless. I really like Bluebird Butterfly, Lava Flow, and Art Gallery Irridescence. Louise Lemly looks really large. I like it a lot too. Your pictures are great. Can't wait to see more.

Wow, absolutely gorgeous blooms, love Applique, it is awesome. The armadillos wreck havoc on my daylilies and they just dig under fences, the only way to get rid of them is shoot them and more just show up. They dig them up to hunt for worms and grubs underneath the plant.

Debra, the deer fence has been a GODSEND! My first year growing daylilies went just fine, second year fine but then I lost over 250 cultivars that were in pots for winter. We had an especially bad winter that year, ice storms, etc. It seemed to be FOREVER recovering from that only to have the deer move in the following season!

Kay it was VERY FRUSTRATING! I would be anticipating seeing a first time bloom only to find the scapes cleaned of their bud the next morning! Bluebird Butterfly takes my breath away too!

Ellie, THANK YOU. You know the fence is really meant to keep you out....LOL! I told my Sweetie Guy it needed to be AT LEAST 10 feet tall cuz of that big ol shovel you carry with you at all times! Funnies aside, we haven't had near the rainfall we had this time last year! We haven't really had hard rains, have been more like showers throughout a day, every other day or so. Nancy Billingslea took a good 2-3 years settling before she gave me a spectacular show, so patience my dear Ellie.

Rita, It is so WONDERFUL to be able to walk the gardens and see some bloom. Has been a two season battle, finally just had to spend the money for fence when nothing else seemed to work fully.

Michelle, The deer only got worse, season after season. I tried everything for two seasons running. Something would work, but not for long. Decided the fence was worth the money! I've hit the deer with rocks, only to have them look at me in disbelief....LOL Hit one with a bottle rocket last year and it jumped a couple times, stopped and stood there looking at me saying What did you do that for? LOL

Sharon, I had an armadillo problem one year. I took a bunch of old clothes, lined my garden with them, soaked them with ammonia and the dillo's never retured. That was at least five years ago! Thanks for enjoying the show!

Thanks for the great show.They are all beautiful.Love ART GALLERY and PATSY CARPENTER the best..Glad you now have a fence around them daylilies to keep the deer out.I fight the deer constantly too,,in town, too,I don't live out in the country..Theres is 7 of them that watch my yard close, that I know of,Last year I had 5 in the yard every night, then one of them had 2 babies.so far,I have kept them away from my plants for last 4 or 5 months, by spraying a stinky stuff on them once a week,and after a rain.
