Let's talk about size ;)

I noticed my older black jack tree has some pretty huge figs this season, mostly growing on the thicker branches (one inch caliper). Some of these rival my neighbor's CAl Brown Turkeys in size. OTOH, the skinnier branches are all producing the smaller fruits.

So is it fair to assume that my smaller, first season trees which are producing very small figs at the moment, will eventually produce larger fruits as the trees mature? These other varieties are Janice Seedless Kadota, Lattarulla and Peter's Honey.

As a side note, what are the biggest fig fruits you are growing or have ever grown? (weight or measurements)
