Difference from a Variety Species from a Subspecies Variety?

Thank you, my mind is working overtime and the questions keep coming. Just from written English language I would have to assume that a variety is related to a supspecies and that a variety has unusually disctinct differences (artificial, etc) making it an exception i.e. "a standout" to its general range siblings within a given supspecies.

Or maybe it's a cross of two supspecies occurring either naturally or as a result of human intention.

Thanks again,

Dax
