Comments (8)My inquiry is about the "BLACK Malta" fig (repaeat BLACK), not the plain 'Malta' fig, aka a sym for the common Celeste fig. Specifically THAT one cultivar (once) offered by BelleClare nursery. COME ON, some of you LI/NY fig nuts must have it!... IS this 'another' meaningless 'country A,B,C,etc.,' Black-Fig name... Comments (0)Can anybody sell me a Malta Black? I had a chance to get the last one from Belleclare nursery in N.Y. but as normal the price was outrageous, so I passed on the opportunity. In retrospect it was a mistake. Unlike others on this forum I am willing to pay the going price for this variety. I dont expect to get a cutting for "postage". Comments (9)i just rooted 6 cuttings they are still real small roots ,but wow they rooted fast,i saw ratings of this fig for zone 5 ,so that makes it ideal for me,and did not know about fertilizing,could cause hardiness to go away thanks for telling that....See Morenoss
